Operational Overview This campaign is for the building of carrier based aircraft, or the Airedale Navy in WW2 slang.
Almost since the advent of air power planes have been modified or designed for operation at sea.
This campaign deals only with those that have taken off and landed on aircraft carriers
All eras and flags are welcome. Even choppers!

of the aviation community, officer or enlisted. From envy, often
prefixed by non-aviation types with expletive adjectives.

Over six monthn 18 modellers completed builds of aircraft for this group
build.
There is wide variety of aircraft from the early thirties through to the
Norwegian Campaign, the Pacific Fleets, Korea, Suez conflicts and the
Vietnam war, the Cold War era, Gulf Wars and right up to present day.
Here are the results of their efforts. I think you'll agree they all
deserve their "Wings of Gold" ribbon. |
