Citroen DS21
Scale - 1/24th
Item No - 25009
Expected release in April 2019

The Citroën DS is a front-engine, front-wheel-drive executive car that was manufactured and marketed by the French company Citroën from 1955 to 1975 in sedan, wagon/estate and convertible body configurations.
Italian sculptor and industrial designer Flaminio Bertoni and the French aeronautical engineer André Lefèbvre styled and engineered the car. Paul Magès developed the hydropneumatic self-levelling suspension.
Noted for its aerodynamic, futuristic body design and innovative technology, the DS set new standards in ride quality, handling, and braking (and was the first mass production car equipped with disc brakes).
Citroën sold 1,455,746 examples, including 1,330,755 built at the manufacturer's Paris Quai André-Citroën production plant.
The DS placed third in the 1999 Car of the Century poll recognizing the world's most influential auto designs and was named the most beautiful car of all time by Classic & Sports Car magazine.

Great choice of car to kit up, this will be popular for sure. Definitely one of the top classic models, but "the most beautiful car of all time" is a bit of a stretch in my eyes. It is obvious to see the hand of an aeronautical engineer in the lines. Cheers, D

Hi Damian, Yeah I wouldn't say its the most beautiful car ever but it does have character. My uncle had one many years ago, and I was always amazed by the suspension, especially when you were sitting in it and it raised. The more I look at this, the more I fancy building it. Andy

I will definitely get one of these, mainly because of the manufacturer and their reputation. They should have done a good job on it.

That car is proof that the automobile stylists of France wanted absolutely nothing to do with the non-Gallic world.
