One of the latest releases available from Tankmaster in Russia is this 1/35 scale Russian officer Tank (“Russian Tank officer – 1939 - 1945”) with long fur coat by SK.
The figure comes in a small plastic bags and in just 3 pieces, which is fine for me !!
The Figure
Parts include a one-piece body with head and feet, and separate parts for the arms. The figure is holding a PPSh-41 sub machine gun, with the drum like ammunition case.
The casting on body and the hands is really good , (I think , the best of all companies products I have seen so far) and the cleaning needs are minor.
The nice thing about a one -piece body is that it eliminates the process of assembly and gap filling and the builder can attach arms (or paint them separately since the fit good ) and move along quickly in the construction process.
The figures facial characteristics are nice and clean and don’t appear to present any difficulties to the painter. The figure appears wearing a long fur coat which should also simplify painting.
The machine gun is lacking in some detail but should look OK with some good painting
Conclusion
I think that this figure will useful in vignettes and dioramas, especially those with snow! This is a decent figure I believe for $9 (USD) it’s a nice addition to a vignette or diorama . Starters shouldn’t find this figure difficult either.
