Whatís in the bag
The set is made up of five different heads in cream color resin along with five WWI helmets in cast in the same resin.

All of them are pegged with the usual resin blocks. The heads and the helmets have this located on their top. This is ok for the heads (assuming that they will be covered with the helmets), but the upper area of the helmets will need some smoothing with sandpaper after carefully removing the resin blocks .
Quality Ė Inspection
Helmets: Checking carefully the items we see that the helmets are all the same type/shape and have the same quality of casting. They are a nice representation of WWI German helmets with several air vents located thought the helmet. On the inside the helmets are plain wit with no detail, but thatís not an issue since in most cases they will end up on the kit heads. the helmets will take a little sandpaper and care to make the surface a bit smoother before priming and painting.

Heads: All heads and faces are different . One of them is sculpted with half a head for fitting of the helmet but the other four are full heads which means they can be used even with out the helmets. All of them are bald. Each head features a different expression with some that are more relaxed, and some showing tension. The one I like the most has a nice moustache -- a German trademark of this era.

Aside from the head with the moustache, I donít think that the other heads have anything special to tag them as WWI era heads. All of them are very nicely sculpted with good detail and no problems in their casting ( such as air bubbles).
With more WWI Germans coming onto the market this head set will surely be more than useful. This is nice release from Warriors covering a somewhat unusual subject. The heads and helmets feature nice casting and detail and are good value for money. Another bonus is that four out of the five heads can be used without a helmet.

I would recommend this product. Many thanks to VLS for providing the review sample.
One of Warriors latest releases is this German WWI head set number 1, which probably indicates there are more to follow. It comes in a small plastic bag with the a product sticker on it.

About Costas Rodopoulos (Major_Goose)

I started modelling 27 years ago with some 1/72 planes and military vehicles. Soon the diorama bug got into me and with Sheperd Paynes books I dug in. I loved to build dioramas and military vehicles till the Vietnam Era. I don't like modern stuff so much. 4 years ago I had a crush on figure painti...
