Three months after the first book SMH-FM01, with the strength and encouragement of the modelers’ reception and positive feedbacks,Mr Black Publications published the second book of the series. The book is again full of works by well-known artists with easy understandable explanations of their builts, many step-by step photos and color codes or recipes of the artists.

SMH-FM02 Scale Model Handbook Figure Modeling 2includes 6 articles by 5 modelers . This one is concentrated on painting using acrylics, oils or enamels and making groundwork and scenery for presentation of the figures.

    The book starts with a preface written by editor Stelios Demiras which explains aim of the second book of series, the characteristics of Figure Painting 2 book and thanks to contributors.
    The book includes 6 chapters. The painted figures in the book belong to different time periods from ancient to World War I and sizes from 54,75 to 90 mm, so articles will be useful to all modelers. The articles are written easy to read and understandable, answering possible questions and makes the painting easier with the color codes and recipes.

    Highs: Nice step by steps with understandable text and high quality photos and close ups. Different techniques and color recipes on oil, enamel and acrylics from different modelers.
    Lows: No lows on this product.
    Verdict: Quality of the series keeps the high level on the second book too.
