He shares his methods and recipes on painting with excellent step by step photos. This part is 6 pages with 11 painting process photos and 7 final photos.
Sculpting a 120 mm Figure for Commercial Casting : In this article, Igor Kordyukov describes how to sculpt a figure starting from a framework or armature, finishing as a masterpiece. He shares the materials he used and explains all steps with many detailed photos. In this article, Igor sculpts Tartar Miniatures TR-120-38 General Sir Bernard Law Montgomery in England,1943. The article has 70 step by step photos in 6 pages.
Figure Conversion Using Commercial Parts : Radek Pituk explains his conversion of The Royal Hungarian Army Zrinyi SPG Crewman. The conversion was made using the Bodi Hungarian tank crew 35033 and head 35018. The article has 54 photos in numbers and every numbered photo is explained with a short text. The finished figure is photod on a Zrinyi assault gun from Bronco Models.
How to Paint a Large Scale Face Using Artists’ Oil Colors : MrBlack himself, paints the head of Young Miniatures 180 mm bust YM-1806 Waffen SS Panzer Crewman. The article has 20 step by step photos and a good text from priming to final touchs in 2 pages. Numbers on the photos and text make it a real guide for bust painters.
How to Create a Realistic 54 mm Vignette with Scratch-Built Figures : Fujita’s Dinner is the most interesting article for me in this book. A fantastic sci-fi scene created by a robot and cat sculpted by Antonio Fdez-Piqui and painted by Javier Gonzalez-Arsies. Both artists explain their techniques in a very good text and 17 photos in 6 pages.
Painting a Figure Using an Oriented Source of Light : Another interesting and useful article. Alex Varela-Iguazzu paints Scale 75 SCN-003 75 mm figure Jack The Ripper in acrylics using OSL technique and shares his work with explanatory text and 20 photos.
