And I wish I was going.
Hopefully someone will take lots of photos so us poor unfortunate ones who can't make it can at least enjoy the photos.

I don't think the 2011 info is available until it is announced at the 2010 show, maybe I am wrong and they announce 2yrs in advance....but I though it was just one year.

For 2011 I am hoping somewhere a bit new... like somwhere in New England would be cool, or at least the East coast.
Either that or Seattle/Portland.

The 2011 convention is in Omaha, NE. It was award last year. 2012 will be award at Pheonix this year.

I e-mailed one of the Ft Crook chapter members and it'll be 3-6 August of next year.
Good thing vendors will attend, as Omaha has one or two Hobbytown USAs and a few Hobby Lobbys and then the next nearest hobby store is Patchcraft Hobby in Sioux City, IA about 90 miles north of Omaha.

I hope they really work on promoting this show via the Internet. There is nothing wrong with Omaha as a location, in fact it's fairly centrally located to drive in a day or so from many major cities, but without proper promotion and marketing (and if the current economic woes are still around next year as predicted) than it's going to be an uphill climb for them to really have a big show.

I am sure that they will promote the show fairly well. I believe their website will be up and running sometime next month. I am really looking forward to this show.

I'm tossing the idea of going around at the moment.
For Omaha's National (1994) a friend and I made the drive from San Jose. It was a good two day haul out there from California, but we came back non-stop in 21 hours.
Fortunately, I'm no longer that young and game enough to try that again!

I must be having a brain dead moment. I thought that the 2011 show was in Nebraska and the 2010 was in Arizona.

Who is going to Omaha this year? It is less than 7 months to the BIG show.

I plan on going. I have friends in Omaha, Lincoln, Sioux City, and Des Moines. I also was a Ft Crook IPMS Chapter member a long time ago.
Plus, there's baseball, the zoo, and some other things to do in Omaha. It's a day's drive from the Denver area, but not bad.
It should be a good time!
