Or how about an Olds 442??
Perfect !

You do know the Chevy's design inspiration is a used cardboard box with duct tape wrapped around it right?
That may be so, but the funny thing is that it would still look better and go harder than any MOPAR bomb !

Herr Hermon, great to see that creepy avatar back in the forums
Damian, my well educated car aficionado, thanks for reviving this group build to provide those Dodge heathens to actually build something worthwhile, aka Chevy. I can already see the improvement to their display cabinets.
I'm in with the same Dodge as was planned for the first time around ('71 Charger, ewwww!)...still rusting away and leaking oil in its box. With such a wide range of excellent Chevy's to pick from, I'll probably go with a C5R.

G'day KSO

Big D, Since Dodge and Pontiac are inclusive, Cadillac (GM) is ok too?
Caddies are fine, which model are you planning?

I think I need to pick a side for this build because I never have before.
Yeah, fence-sitting is definitely banned. You MUST sit on one side or the other, but build one of each.
Correct !
Cheers, D
I'm going out rollin' low in this one. I was looking through the already existent stashidge and saw a "DONK" Caddy and considered lowering it. Then saw the 1960 Ford Starliner and thought that vs. 1960 Impala scapin' on some Pegasus spokes…
There are other makes but Chevrolet (and other GM) is king in the LoLo world

What about Racecars? For example I have an old Monogram Chapparal 2D which is SBC powered, or I also have a couple of NASCAR Lumina's in the stash also.
I think I also have a Hemi Under Glass kit

Wow, two cars in one year? I haven't finished a car model since the Ford administration, and it was a Schwimmwagon!!!

Come on Hermon, your ARE beautiful, it's just all on the inside (I know, I suffer from the same affliction !).
Like James said, this place has missed you and it's great to see you back.
@ Robert, if we will allow trucks, then I'm sure race cars will fit the bill as well. The Chaparral with the 327/360 Chev Banger looks like a nice kit!
@ Mark, YOU CAN DO EEEEEEEEEEEEEET !
Back to work, bye for now.

Well D, this is kind of disheartening. I'm down in your neck of the woods (Malaysia is closer to OZ than Washington) and I haven't seen anything I recognize as a Chevy or even a Ford. I have seen a few of Dodge's German cousins, the Benz. But no decent iron, they're all Nissans, Toyotas, Hondas, Hyundais Beemers, VDubs and Protons, but no classic iron. How sad.
I guess the good news for you is they all drive on the wrong side of the road and I can't understand a word they say. You might fit right in. 8^)

KSO, nice choices for the Chevy's. Ford will have its turn, but this time around it's Chevy vs Dodge (like there's any competition there
)

Hi KSO.
The Impala looks really sweet, but you might need to rethink the Ford part of your build. We are strictly Chev vs Hemi this time around.
If we have a popular and successful Group Build I'm sure that another rivalry topic will be floated.
Cheers, D
Edit: great minds think alike James, we posted at the same time.

Ah KS1, it's Chevy vs. Hemi. The Fords might be better cars (and airplanes) but... they're not included.

Hi Guys,
I think I can manage this
but as a die hard Chevy fan, out of nearly 500 kits in the stash I only have one Dodge magic van.
may have to pick up another kit.
Cheers Rob.

Well that did get me to looking for inspiration for my builds. I think I found it.
For the Challenger:
Maybe this.
or this.
For the Bonneville, definitely this:

How many have showed interest. I am game, as I said a Chev CMP vs Dodge series is my choice. I hope there is enough interest to get this campaign off to a good start. Bowties are the best.

Nice pictures D, but I'm not sure that's really Australia. I couldn't help but notice some electric lights in a couple of those photos.
I've made a decision about what Chevy I'm going to build for this campaign. All I need to do now is find someone to make some custom decals for me. I suppose I could paint the gay pride flag on the hood....but that's a lot of tapeing and painting.

KSO, you gotta do that low rider truck. No one is building anything close to that. Pretty slick man.
