BMW R75 update.
I got a chance to lay down some primer tonight. I went with Vallejo German Red Brown (73.605).
And as I noted in Step 3, I'm still able to rotate the bike's rear wheel for detail painting!
My original plan was to modify a figure for the bike but the spare parts box just wasn't cooperating, so I decided to order this guy instead.
Tank Miniatures, 'German Motorcycle Rider I (Afrika Korps)'
Cheers!🍺

Hate when that happens!
Good looking details on the welds, chain, wheel nuts, etc. Nice going!

Tamiya do good 1/12 scale bikes Mike details is good and easy to build. The colour is nail polish over acrylic blue, nice work on the R75, coming along nicely.

Thanks Pete!
Here's another update.
I scratch-built some shovel straps from left-over PE. Details have been painted, decals applied, and assembly is final.
This thing is extremely delicate. Attaching the sidecar and braces to the bike frame was nerve-racking!
Fortunately, once everything is attached, the bike-frame's geometry takes over and gives it some semblance of strength.
Still need to fix a few things, some touchup is needed, a light pin-washing, and then matte varnish.
I hope everyone's builds are going well!
Cheers!🍺

Nice work on the BLING Pete!
Now I see why you wear gloves — wouldn’t want fingerprints all over that finish.
And thank you but I’m not at the finish line just yet. I’ve still got a few bits to tidy-up.
Cheers!🍺

Hi guys!
Pete, Coming along nicely, the graphics look great!
Nice to see enlistment numbers rising for this campaign. And it’s surprising how much variety there is in the bike model genre these days.

And now for the BMW R75 update.
I could call the R75 done but in a previous post, I did mention a figure to be added … and said figure just arrived today!
The scary news … snap snap … snap and snap! … the sound of delicate attachment points. As I went to dry-fit the rider to the bike, there was just no way to get a leg over the saddle without completely removing the sidecar.
The good news … no damage to the Styrene as everything detached at CA glue joints.
The figure from TANK is amazing — exquisitely detailed and he fits like a glove! … Sand goggles down!
Okay, enough about me. Eager to see what you guys come up with! … Whatever it is, ride it like you stole it!
Cheers!🍺

Nice Mike, shame it fell apart, but I am sure you will get it back together.
Welcome aboard to the new comers. I have the RG Sheene bike and it would be nice to see it make an appearance.
My Yamy R1 is complete. Had a few slight mishaps but over came them easily enough. Worst one was the front grill which protects the rad.....I forgot to insert at the same time as the fairings went on ooops. Managed to prise the 2 parts open enough to get it in place.
Here is the final build pics and the end result.
A few of the pictures are without the mirrors, but took the last ones with them on last night...well this morning
Look forward to seeing the rest of the builds take shape, might even sneek another one in
Cheers Pete

will be combining , revel Suzuki rg500 , Tamiya racing rider , and plywood to give a bazzer diorama ,, mainly because I've only ever seen this kit built with supplied rider and never the Tamiya cornering option so hoping for something a little different with a bit of knee down action !

Paul- really looking forward to your build, big Sheene fan and I swithered whether to build it myself for this campaign. It will be fun doing his leathers and helmet.
