Holy God! It's been a year! You'd think it would be done by now! Think again.....Lol.

Hello everybody, it's me! I finally order a replacement body for the Chevy since everything I've tried to repair it as not gone well.

Hopefully Revell will be sending a body so I can get this done.

No email from Revell yet on the new body. Granted it's only been 2 days since I asked for a replacement body.......all good things come to those who wait I guess......

This could take awhile......

Well, checked the status of the new/replacement body for the '57. I have to mail the UPC code in, long story short, . I wish Revell would of sent an email letting me know this!

The wait continues.............

This is how long it takes me to build a model without requesting replacement part[s].

That metal flake blue look good though.

Hey gang,

I've got my hands full right now with the B-29A "Bockscar" build over at Aeroscale and a number of other personal projects around the apartment I've been putting off for months now.

Hey gang,

I'm switching paints. Enamels rattle cans aren't going to cut it for the '57 Chevy anymore. I hit the body with primer and then hit it with the rattle can 36 hours later, well, it ran. So, I had to clean the body off and start over.
Long story short, I hit up the LHS today and got these...

The hood is done in the rattle can. Test strips are as labeled.

Opinions?

Hey gang,

Don't adjust your monitor.

I've taken a break from the B-29A build to prime the '57 body with Vallejo white primer, 2 coats.

My apologizes for how the photos look, I'm using a new paint booth with LED lights. I hope the review on the paint booth will be up soon.

Coat one. Note the hood color. It's a dark blue and it's enamel. Body is acrylic, Testor's MM. Second coat is going to be Vallejo acrylic, Art. Blue. It's a little darker, so I hope it will match the hood.

I know, my airbrushing needs some improvements. Still breaking them in.

Hey gang,

Painted the '57, white areas are primer after the masking was removed.

I'll be foiling the primer areas.

Thanks Jesper,

I was concerned about getting the body color to match the hood color.
