Hello,

I want to make a civil version of the Caterpillar D9 dozer, looking like this one ....

Picture from Wikipedia

... based the 1/35 kit of Meng Models:

I have started with the preparation of the parts of the civil D9 cab.

Added some putty on it for the first time ... sanding .... now the same procedure again and again until it is a totally smooth surface ....

Hello,

some further progress on the Caterpillar.

The engine covers sanded ... the armored grills removed, putty and sanding was necessary to get a smooth surface .... front grill follows later.

The floor of the cabin is reworked and adjusted at the new cabin ... also some first details added. Some etched parts and grips will follow ...

Hello,

some progress with the Caterpillar dozer. Some more details atted at the cab, the floor and interior.... also the engine hood received more details.

The running gear and the ripper were built without bigger modifications. Only some pipes will follow later.

The hydraulic cylinders for the blade were modified. I have used wonderful replacement parts and modified the upper area (in the kit it is armorerd).

Next I will take care of the blade itself ....

Cheers
