Hi everyone!

I don't think I saw this anywhere else in the forum but I personally always find it cool to see model stashes and work areas of fellow modelers. I find it inspirational in many ways. Anyway I'll start with a few pics of my work area and my stash. Would love to see the stashes of others!

Calvin,
I'm going to have to tidy up my model room, and then post some pictures. It's no where as neat, nor organized like yours. And most of the display shelves are for aircraft.

I also use those stacking clear cases that I originally bought for my armor days to display my cars.

Joel,

I actually am completely out of those stacking cases as well. Where did you purchase yours? The store I used to buy them from no longer carries them.

Calvin,

I'm out as well. I've been using the ones I bought for my Sherman models and then putting them into clear plastic shoe cases that I buy at Home Depot.

I'll start to look around for them online, and if I do indeed find them, I'll post it here, and pm you as well.

Anthony,
sure hope that you get to move into your new house soon. Both for storage space and being able to have your modeling supplies on hand to build.

Calvin,
I found those cases being carried at Sprue Brothers with the Tamiya brand name.

MSR: $37.00
SB: $27.99

At $27.99 those cases just aren't worth it. I'll continue to look around for now.

Same case with the Trumpeter name is just $19.99. Naturally, it's out of stock. Go figure.

Found at Mega Hobbies the same case under the Prestige label for$17.06, and the smaller size for 1/25 AMT cars for just $9.00

Yah that's is quite a bit considering the stackable cases I have were $5 a piece haha. I used to buy them 5 or 6 at a time whenever I visit that store. From what I gather is that they are still available in Japan as I see a lot of Japanese Modelers with the same cases on Instagram. My only options now are 10 car cases from Carney Plastics out in Ohio. They make some really nice wall mounted acrylic cases. Tap Plastics out here in California also has rectangular acrylic cases for what I believe at $7.00 a piece.

Calvin,
Took a look at the single cases from Tapplastics. They're a little smaller then the cases I have now, but are fine for Tamiya 1/20 scale F1 cars that are a little less then 10 inches in length. And at $7/case, the price is perfect.

That's a very nice collection of F1 cars! I haven't actually gotten into building any but eventually would love to build Senna's Mclaren MP4/4.

Luciano,
What a great F1 stash. I noticed you've got a Tamiya Lotus 25. I've been searching ebay about once or so a week to find one for sale here in the states. It's a must have for me.

Hi Joel,

I hunted high and low for that Lotus 25, only issue is, it has a cracked windscreen, so if any one knows of a replacement vacform one out there please let me know or a way to repair a cracked clear part.

There also three Tyrrell's one of which needs new decals as they are discoloured, not yellowed but completely discoloured all down one side. Think the last owner must of kept them near some heat or something.

Just signed up for the Porsche campaign so I'll need to go through my stuff in storage as I know there are a couple of 'porkers' in there, 911 GT1, GT2, GT3 and a Carrera GT. Oh almost forgot there's a 959 in there as well. Wow I can remember what kits are in storage and I haven't seen for a couple of years but can't remember what I had for tea last night

I'll keep an eye out for the clear cockpit glass for you. Have you thought about posting in the aircraft forums for someone who does vacuforming? Some how I think that Jessica could point you in the right direction.

As for the replacement decals, checkout Indy Cals @ http://www.indycals.net/ Michael makes replacement higher grade sheets for just about all the Ebbro and Tamiya F1 kits

Thanks Joel,

I've taken a look and it's the one Indycals don't do but checking and found Studio27 do a set. It's for the Tyrrell Honda 020

Not thought to ask on the aircraft forums about vacforming a replacement windscreen.

Nice stash.

With my return to auto modeling, I just counted the total number of kits in my stash: 8 in total. Talk about being a neophyte in every sense of the word.

I think I maybe parting with a few of the rarer resin kits that I have such as the ZoomOn Honda Accord Euro R. I have posted it for sale on ebay and a few other places. (no interest yet though)

I'm also thinking of posting in Aeroscale and ARC all my duplicate WWII aircraft models. odds are slim that I'll get to any the originals any time soon.
