"Dreams are Free!" kicks off in 2 months, and we all know how quickly time passes when we get immersed in this grand hobby! I have selected 3 of the GB themes for us to vote on for the next Group Build to run from April to September 2021.

1. Best of British/French - runner-up in the previous vote

2. Heart of the beast - animal manufacturers, any manufacturer with an animal as a badge (Jaguar, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Holden, Dodge, Alfa Romeo, etc)

3. When Two or Three will do - Bikes and Trikes

Choose your first, second and third preference from the list. First preference gets 3 points, second preference gets 2 points, third preference gets 1 point.

I will leave the vote open until the current Race Theme GB ends, then declare the winner and start the lead-up discussion thread.

"The Beast" has taken and early lead in the voting!

The Heart of the Beast - 17 votes
The Best of British and French - 11 votes
When 2 or 3 will do (Bikes/Trikes) - 6 votes

Keep your votes coming in, and post up pics of kits or 1:1 for inspiration.

Cheers, D

D,
My picks are:
1-2-3, with 3 being of very little interest to me.

Here is a photo of my 1:1 inspiration for the "When 2 or 3 Will Do" Group Build:

This is a 2002 Kawasaki KZ1000P Police Motorcycle from the California Highway Patrol. This is similar to the bikes used in the TV show "CHiPs", except they used the earlier KZ1000C (1978-1981) while this one is based on the KZ1000J (1982-2005).

Are fire fighting vehicles allowed in commercial trucking group build? In principle they are quite similar to construction and farming equipment (main function isn't cargo carrying), so perhaps they are? I could build civilian AA-60, which is a heavy airfield fire fighting truck:

Pasi, that think is a Beast! Wow! Even though I', tempted to say "Yes" because I want to see you build it, I think it would fit better into "#18: Emergency Services". That being said, the Emergency Services Group Build doesn't seem like a popular option right now, so I say build it!

Can the Rolls Royce hood ornament be taken for a "beast"? It's a mammal after all...

Of course there's always the original Dodge Bighorn (CNT9500) built between 1973-75 and only 261 produced:

I don't think that would qualify as the Dodge brand doesn't have an animal for a logo, but I think a Ram (which became its own brand several years ago) pickup would.

"Dreams are Free!" kicks off in just 10 days, and we all know how quickly time passes when we get immersed in this grand hobby!

I will leave the vote open until the current Race Theme GB ends, then declare the winner and start the lead-up discussion thread.

Voting as it stands right now -

The Heart of the Beast - 20 votes
The Best of British and French - 18 votes
When 2 or 3 will do (Bikes/Trikes) - 10 votes

If you haven't voted yet, speak now or forever . . . you know the drill!

Only a few days until the voting closes, looks like "The Heart of the Beast" might take the win by a slim margin at this stage.

If you haven't voted, jump in and have your say now.

With no more votes placed, I hereby declare the winner (by a slim margin).

The Best of British and French - 18 votes

Wow, this thread already forgot me. I've got a coupla a Barracudas, some Mustangs, a Thunderbird or two, some Firebirds and a Bronco. Might come up with something. I've done a Chevy, a Ford and a Honda, probably time to do a Dodge.

Are we firing this up on the new site?

I see you've found your way to the new AutoModeler now Mark! Definitely some beasts amongst that list.
