Just a little side-note with a bit of info- FORD also made the '36 Coupe in a 3-window model, and so did AMT quite a few years ago. I built one of those in 1963, when I was 10 years old...
Interestingly, I built my first MONOGRAM 1930 FORD Model A Coupe that same Summer. Ahh, NOSTALGIA...

Thanks for the GT40 pics. Every time I see the road version, I just get dizzy and weak in the knees. If only I'd have been born filthy rich, I'd have one. But since I wasn't, and I'll never win the lottery, modeling is about the only way I'll ever own one.

I'm building the Revell 1/25 scale 1985ish Roush SCCA Trans Am Mustang, which is also a Silhouette Mustang racer. The Monogram kit meets all the criteria for the GB, so go for it.

Hi Joel - cool, thanks. The kit has the white body with Ford blue stripes, logos and the words “Ford” and “Zakspeed” stamped in the head. Looks like an interesting build with plenty of opportunities to add or enhance parts/details. For now, I’m finishing a Toyota TS 020 One - October is just around the corner!

I've changed my kit to Revell's Ford GT Le Mans 2017. The Cyclone (Nascar) was lacking in the blue oval department. But this should be OK:

Pasi,
It's perfect. Not an easy build as the fit of the multi piece body needs a lot of TLC so all of the panels line up, as well as when the shell gets attached to the chassis.
Chip Ganassi ran the official Ford GT team from conception through the end of the 2019 season. Ford is supposed to be pulling it's direct sponsorship after the season is over, and was considering a new DPI prototype car for the 2020 season, but now will be waiting till the new rules package for 2022, when the DPI cars will all be Hybrids. There are a few privateers running in IMSA's GTLM class, so us Ford guys will still have the GTs to root for.

Those two service body ones would look great as lifted 4WDs and in use as desert racing chase trucks.

Henry was born in Michigan, so maybe we should coordinate the start/finish timer around that time zone?
Honestly, I am more concerned with watching this group of builds take shape than a couple of hours here and there.

Opening the official thread a wee bit early isn't a big deal over the course of 6 months, but I was always a stickler for finishing on time. If there's a honest issue for needing a little more time, I'll handle that on a one to one basis. I'm sure that we all realize that this is a hobby, and family, home, & work comes 1st.
