Sounds accurate to the 1:1 version!
Cheers, D

Yes, the only time Heller get the realism right, it is wrong!

Gabriel,
The customer's car is turning out quite nicely. He should be more then happy. Of course since he most likely isn't a modeler, hasn't a clue of just how much work and effort you put into this build to get it to this level.
Joel

The guy it is actually a Sunday modeller, but he never gets the finishes right and he also has a very large collection of Diecasts and commissioned builds.

Gabriel, I hope your customer is paying you handsomely, for the amount of blood sweat and tears going into these builds is phenomenal!

You know, Russ, the pay for plastic models was never too high and on this one I get penalties for late delivery and failure to rebadge the car. However, since my hobby balance remains positive, I'm happy enough

UPDATE
The P34 is pushing me hard to clear my bech, and I made an agreement with myself not to start a new build until the previous one it is finished or in the stage where I just have to wait for paint to dry. Long story short, Dacia 1100 has to run faster than P34 in my world

Windows, bumpers and wheels fitted, as well as most of the lights. All with minor issues, the wheels with major issues. The seering link it is too long and the car was steering left and right in the same time

I kept the wheels free moving in the spindles, but now they have to be positioned individually. Also I convinced the owner to remove temporarily the hinges - I'm going to ship them separately and he will decide if will keep them or not. Here you can see by how much the cross body stripe it's longer than supposed to be. There is no support underneath and cannot be forced flatter. However, the gaps are gone:

And here one of my mistakes: initially I glued the front bumper upside down, because the slant of the mounts indicate that arrangement. I realized my mistake with someone's help, and turned it around, but the angle to the body looks a little weird. At least it is the correct position:

Gabriel,
I for one think that you've done a fantastic job on the Dacia 1100. This is another one of those kits that guys like me would have passed up without a 2nd thought.

the pics of the Dacia really do look quite good. The client should certainly send you a bonus as combat pay.

Thanks, Joel! Yes, I'm quite happy with the way it turned out. Too bad for the weak wheels though. They can be modified for extra strength, but from now on it's owner's problem, because I declare this:

FINISHED BUILD

The rally version re-enter preservation until I find decal paper or fire extinguisher

... and now it's time for me to join the running GB

Very nice finish to a difficult build Gabriel, congratulations! It definitely looks better with the boot hinges gone.

I always find it vaguely wrong to look at a car with a "flat" front end and not see some sort of grille!

A beautiful build of quirky little car that was a difficult kit!

Congratulations Gabriel on a fine build. This is gonna look great on the new owner's display shelf!

Thanks for sharing. Will keep an eye out for your next build!

:) Yes, somewhat. I've got used to it, sice many Eastern European cars were rear-engined: Dacia 1100, Skoda 1000MB, Fiat 850, Polski Fiat 500 - all these have no front grille and they are so "fugly", that you gotta love'em

Thanks, David. THe idea from the beginning was to make a Plain Jane that it is still new but it had a couple thousands miles. I guess I went pretty close.

Thanks, Russ!
Yeah, quirky car delivered by Heller as a quirky kit The engineering it's weird at least but I'll take it before MPC for sure!
It looks decent once finished, although one might borrow some wipers and mirrors to really finish it off Heller, again!
