Another beautifully finished build Joel, and having this icon in the display cabinet would make anybody proud. How about a couple of shots of the display once this is put into place?

Once again, this has been a great thread to follow, plenty of great tips around this kit as well as techniques for building and finishing.

Looking forward to the next build across the starting line.

Cheers, D

Hi Joel - this looks great! Very nice all-around, and clearly one that will look good among the others you have brought across the finish line!

Cheers

D,
Thanks so much for your continued support from start to finish, it's always greatly appreciated, and always needed.

I'll be taking a good look at my display shelving unit, and will figure out a decent way to photograph the 2+ shelves of my car models. All my aircraft models in their group display boxes have long been delegated to space in the main basement storage room.

As far as my next build, I've officially started it yesterday, and it's tied directly into the Ford Blue Circle GB, but it's not my official GB build. I've also posted my build plans a few days ago. As soon as I get something done, I'll start my build blog with a intro and the word done.

What a tour-de-force that was, Joel. You mastered perfectly the smallest of details and the final finish pays off handsomely. I've been trying hard to find an imperfection just to tease you, but I ended up teasing myself for not finding one!
I wonder how much better can you became, my old friend, since every new build of yours is better than the previous one!

Gabriel,
Thanks so much for that high praise on my build, it's not only much appreciated, but I'm literally speechless . The photography lighting setup does help, but the paint doesn't have a mile deep finish as I had hoped for, but it's good enough for that reflection.

The build was a pleasure as Papa Tamiya made sure that this era of car kits were as perfect as they could attain back then, as racing cars were his passion. Just a walk through the Tamiya Corp building lobby one is treated to his personal collection of F1 cars.

I've started a new build, that's taking me on a completely different journey to a place I've never been before. I'm hoping to make my 1st intro/small start post over this weekend if I succeed prepping some vacuum form parts 1st as it's a Resin Trans kit.

Joel
