Russell,
You really nailed it. I'm super impressed with the clear finish. The interior looks pretty realistic, and you did an exceptional job on the engine compartment.

Thanks so much for the words of support and encouragement guys!

Break our the Tonight I was able to attach the rear view mirrors and place the Pontiac badge decal on the front of the car!

Finished!

A quick blast tomorrow with compressed air to blow away the dust bunnies and I'll take some decent pics with the big camera!

Hi Joel and Marc!

thanks so much for the kind words...

Life got a bit tangled over the weekend so wasn't able to take the final pics, but hoping to put this to bed sometime during this week

Very nice result Russ, lovely finish! Even more impressive considering the battles you fought along the way on this build.

Cheers, D

Russell,
Oh Wow Boy did you nail this one. It's spectacular in it's overall appearance, and the close up pictures really shows off the details that you really nailed. A perfect example is the 2 chrome strips across both tail lights. They really look like the real deal. Even the shaker hood has the look and feel that I remember from many moons ago.

Well done my friend, very well done.

Thank you Damian Great to have people with your skills along for the ride offering support and encouragement!

Lots of learnings had here on this one. My first experience with Bare Metal Foil, and quite happy with how it turned out. Ready to apply those skills to Anakin's Naboo Starfighter from Episode I

Thank you so much Joel Very kind words indeed my friend, from someone who's work I admire very much and can only hope to get halfway as good as.

Overall I'm happy with how she's turned out, even if there are little things that to my eye I could do better next time. But that's all part of the fun and the learning process that gets us a little closer to the perfect build each time.

The lyrics from an Edgar Winter song comes to mind...

"Drivin' along with my radio on feelin' good..."

Great finish Russ! Glad to see this garage queen make it to the road and I'm sure you had this one in the real garage.

Thank you Michael I'd love to say I have this in my real garage, but it seems only in my dreams for now, at least....

Saw it on premiere night. Very well played by Christian Bale and Matt Damon. As you say, highly recommended. For those with Netflix, there's a documentary, that covers the very same battle. "The 24 hour war"
