I'll probably have to pick up a set from Indycals as well. The kit decals are pretty yellow now. I've seen people try to remove the yellow by taping the sheet to the inside of a window and trying to "bleach" out the yellow. I've never had success trying that though.

I've seen it done a couple of times, and it does work, but as Joel said, the risk is ending up with brittle decals.

A funny story from a friend of mine, and a trap for young players. After a week taped to the window in mild conditions, the attempt to remove the sheet from the window ended up leaving a very neat set of decals stuck to the window due to condensation on the inside of the glass !

If you are going to try this, do it with the decal sheet sealed inside a ziplock bag

Cheers, D

D,
Great story. Waiting a week to see if it worked is about 6+ days longer then I could wait for the process to work. And like I said, even if the sun did bleach them, the odds are they were literally toast. Go Indy Cals and you'll never regret it.

I'm actually looking forward to my build as it's a one piece body, and I'm not planning on doing any of the trunk detailing at all other then replace the two huge plastic fuel lines with AM ones. Engine compartment just spark plug wires.

Hey Joel,
So this is where you spend all your time :-)
Looks like you've taken on a challenge, so I hope its a rewarding journey. I'm looking forward to seeing the final result.
Happy modelling,
Steve.

Steve,
Thanks for stopping by. Yep, these days I've got both feet firmly planted on the ground.
