I will be in this one. A Ferrari F1 from the 60's if I get the McLaren finished.

Michael and Patrick, your pair of Ferraris takes us to 12 on the starting grid already, thanks for joining in!
I must say that I am really pleased to see the increase in "traffic" here on Automodeler (bad pun, sorry) and I am really enjoying the direction it is heading.
Cheers, D

I'm really not good with numbers Michael, at least that's what I keep telling myself while I'm trolling the FB Buy/Swap/Sell pages
I'm only one cog in a big wheel mate, all of the cogs keep it turning!

With the Blue Oval Group Build in full swing already, we need to keep moving this one along for the follow-up in April next year. We all know how quickly the time passes by!
Recently I have picked up a kit I've long been searching for, and this will be my confirmed build for the "Strip, Track and Trail" Group Build.
The box has seen better days but it seems to have been stored dry and the decals appear good to go. This will be yet another first for me, full roll cage and strip setup, so I am looking forward to it.
Next step is to tidy up the Rules and Regs, which should be simple, and then Richard as our nominee for Group Build Leader can put in a submission to get us "live".
Cheers, D

One from my stash:-

That's a very nice looking unit Richard, plus the Bowtie for added value!
It is the 4 million decals that scares me a bit with this race theme, most of the cars I do have a couple of licence plate decals, or none at all.
Cheers, D

Hi Damian
When I opened the box my first thought was how much can I paint to avoid decals!
Not going to build this in this GB, just posted stash photos to keep thread active.

All good, I’m about to start doing the same thing, although I think there are only about 3 racing kits in my stash 🤔

Hi Damian,
Yes you can count me in too. I don’t know what I’ll build just yet. Sounds fun and looks like all sorts of great ideas for builds are in the works.
Cheers

A racecar? Ohhh boy, I've never done one of those. All those decals. I dunno ya'll.
Okay, so I have my eye on ONE car that'd I seriously consider getting for this build. Just ONE. If I "win" it, I'm in. The nice thing is it's inexpensive - an old Revell NASCAR kit that would mean something to me after building it. Heck, I'd even put in in a case. Or the bin if it pisses me off enough! LOL!

Once the Group Build is available to "join," I'm in. My ONE racecar is on the way.
I'll post a picture once it's here. I chose this one because I work for the company that sponsored this NASCAR ride.

And.....the reveal. I've been working for this company for a bit better than two and a half years now (in my favorite department: Tools/Hardware). So, this is the kit I'll be building.
