We are closing in on 2 months till armor modelers, enthusiasts and model geeks leave their basements to attend the AMPS 2020 International Show in Camp Hill, PA, May 7 - 9, 2020.
Visit the AMPS homepage at amps-armor.org and poke around to see the fantastic list of vendors who will be attending the show. If you didn't save any money for this show, after reviewing the list of vendors attending the show, you may be tempted to take out a second mortgage or sell that second family vehicle.
Quick notes and reminders:
Hotel Reservations: Don't forget to reserve your room for the show before the rooms at the AMPS special show rate are gone. Reservations are quick and easy and you can use the link on the AMPS homepage to make your reservations on-line.
Pre-registration: If you are going to the show, pre-registration is the way to go to save time and effort and spare you from having to fill out those forms before arriving at the show. The pre-registration link and all the instructions you need are on the AMPS homepage (amps-armor.org). You'll be glad you did when you pull into the hotel and head for the "Pre-registered Models" table.
Category Sponsorships: Category sponsorships, both "Best Of's" and individual category sponsorships are filling up fast, but we still need more sponsors. Check out the updated list of show sponsors and consider sponsoring a category or two. Both individual and AMPS Chapter sponsors are welcome. It's great way to support, both AMPS and modelers. Contact Sponsorship czar, Glen Martin at [email protected] for additional sponsorship information.
Raffle Donations: We are always looking for donations to the AMPS raffle. While vendors and show sponsors are contributing, consider being part of this group. Clear out those kits, figure and aftermarket that you know you just won't get to and help fill the AMPS raffle table. "Raffle King'" Frank Ciccarella, is busy coordinating with our show vendors and manufacturers to help make this raffle table even better than last year and your donations will make this a big success. New condition kits, figures, aftermarket and conversion sets, tools and reference materials would be most appreciated by AMPS, Frank and raffle ticket buyers. If you cannot make it to the show this year, you can mail them to Frank at:
1438 E. Haven Lane
Olathe, Kansas 66062
If you plan on bringing your donation to the show, email Frank at: [email protected] and let him know what you will be bringing to donate.
Volunteers:Show Setup/Take down: In order to put on a successful show of this size and quality, it takes many people both behind the scenes and in plain view. While the jobs of some of the 'behind the scenes' folks are slowly beginning to wind down, the need for the 'front line' folks will soon be upon us and we can sure use the help. Visit the AMPS homepage (amps-armor.org) and go to the sign up page where you will find a list of jobs that need someone to do.
Till the next AMPS show announcement,
