An absolutely impressive display of decal application. One would never know that these decals are old, and pretty well dried out.

And Russell, somewhere in my model/computer room I actually have that Hot Wheel's car. Just gotta go find it.

You pretty much nailed it why I haven't built another Nascar stockcar for some time. Basically, they're all the same. The Nascar governing body lays out a set of rules for literally everything, including the design of the chassis, roll cage, engines, transmissions, etc. Today there's no options period. You can't even make your own, but have to buy them. GM stopped Pontiac from making their own engines back in the 1970s to stop duplication of resources and funds. So your Chevy engine in the Pontiac bodied car is correct.

The decals are what makes the cars look different to most spectators. Same goes for Indy Car with the exception of what engine each team is running.

This is why I love Tin Top racing, especially the GT3 classes world wide. Many different makes to model, I never get bored with them. Just trying to collect all the BMW M series GT3 cars is beyond my collecting abilities.

Still, you've done a fantastic build that encompasses your detail painting, and decaling.

The truck kits are nice. I was looking At my Dennis Setzer #1 Dodge Ram after seeing your build. Need to find some missing parts before working on it again. Revell does make a Dodge Hotwheels #43 truck. Jest saying....

A useless fun fact about the wheels is that the center is not part of the wheel and would be part of the rear axle or front hub assembly. They are typically black or natural metal in color. A lot of teams would paint lines pointing towards the lugs to aid the tire changer in orienting the wheel during pit stops. Some were even cone shaped to aid as well.

Yes, I should drill the exhaust when I had the opportunity but I chickened out. It has just a little flaring on the small section that comes outside the edge of the body - the part running under the floor it's much flatter in section. However, I tried tonight to scribe some deeper recesses in there, without too much success. All i need to do now it's to add some black paint.

Any advice for a NASCAR fan it's good in the matter, because I'm a complete noob. My supplier doesn't carry any, and I found two Revells on Amazon, decently priced. All I can remember one had NAPA livery. I can't remember the drivers. Also the guy that sends me kits for review told me he has one, but I turned it down, because of the bad timing. Maybe with the next batch.

Back in the day, I ordered replacement decals to avoid masking the white area. If I can find the front grill again, it can start to move off the SOD.

That kit is not easy to find.

Forgot to add last night, I like how the Petty car turned out.

No worries, Only now it's finished and you can decide if you like it or not.

Ryan, I gladly will, because I don't keep my models. The Caribbean climate "eats" them in 3-6 months time. Mst damaging it's the "salt dust" that tarnish the shine and oxidize the metallics, inclusive the BMF. For a few years now I either donate, either sell them. This particular two NASCARs were pre-ordered and by the end of the week will begin their journey to Canada...
I appreciate very much your following of the build from the beginning to the end - and I'm waiting to see you NASCAR truck. My supplier of free kits it's backing off now - probably they are (or they will become) highly collectible.

The only two unstarted NASCAR kit I have is the Kodak and County Time cars.
