Cheers Russ!
Well body on and still some work to do to ensure those gaps go away.
I added a 1/24 Ferrari to show you the size of the kit and give some idea of why handling it is a challenge.
cheers
Michael
She's a Beasty for sure, Michael... reminds of the days when I used to make 1/8th scale Automotive models for design studies...

I have had enough of trying to make the doors and rear work for me.
I am in the process carving the pig up to get it off my desk. A quick photo showing future cut lines.
cheers

I can see it being displayed mainly with body off and/or doors open to show off the gorgeous details inside, so maybe absolutely perfect fit isn't really worth the angst!
Cheers, D

That is sort of the decision I came to after several hours of and
Anyway the butcher has continued marking the porker up and I know the customers are salivating, waiting for the final product. Halfway there.

Wow - a huge kit, and a great build! 🐷 What’s next - the Tamiya 935, or the upcoming Meng Ford GT40? Same scale........

Hi Michael, this sure looks great - I'm sure the final images will be well worth the wait! Sorry to hear about the frustrations with getting the body parts to work as planned - maybe a day or two away from the bench might be good - rethink about ways to look at the problems
Cheers

D,
I have absolutely no idea who this person is whose posting as our Nick. But I've seen the real Nick over on the new site.

Neither can I!!
I am over this car. I failed to allow for the venturi effect when applying the clear coat around the front wheel arches and the rear fins. It took several hours of polishing to reduce the sandy effect to approaching something acceptable.
Then the front windscreen, the final piece to install. I tried to create a rubber seal effect around the glass but failed to execute well enough that I have a few more hours of repair.
For the third weekend in a row I hope that this weekend will be the finish line but no promises.
Thanks for checking in though. The support is appreciated!
cheers
Michael
