Michael,
As I've said, the actually shipping issue since hittin the USA shore is strictly USPS, which really at this point should be allowed to go bankrupt and just disappear from the face of the earth. They have no problems making sure that all my bills arrive but that's about it. Their Parcel Post has been and is now a total mess.

My package has now been bounced around for 3 full weeks here in the states, and Sunday starts wk 7 of this nightmare, and the 4th week that my package most likely is just seating in either a whse or in a trailer till it's full before it leaves for whatever the next destination really is.

I now only ship DHL, UPS, or Fed Ex period. I don't really care if it costs a little more, but I get my packages on time or close to it during the pandemic. Like I said, I have two kits coming from CA via UPS for less then $24, and even if it takes 2 weeks, that's light years ahead of the Postal system.

Rowan,
My point about Spot Models is that they've turned their back on these shipping issues. No response because they don't have one. Their choice of shipping charges clearly shows that they're forcing nearly everyone to go Spanish Post to USA Post.

At this end of the pond as I post daily, there is always a date update one day later, but it's just a change of date with the same exact post. It's on it's way to the next destination. Period. Like I said to Michael, the package is just seating in a trailer waiting for enough boxes to make a full load to the next stop, and since they've already been paid, they just don't give a damn.

I'm going to be dealing on a trial basis with Grand Prix Models located in London England and see how it goes. But for now I just don't need any more models.

Finally a new update by the PO from Newark, NJ. My package has beenshipped via a full trailer to the next destination which they don't say where that is. Hopefully Suffolk county, but who knows. As I been saying, they just kept it in NJ till they had enough packages for a 40ft trailer truck. I'm betting that delivery will be Monday rather then Saturday.

Hi again Joel

As I say, I'm with you on this. Mail order is an important part of my Oxfam shop's offer and responding promptly to customers' concerns is a key part of the service we provide. Usually it's a "false alarm" and the item arrives straight after the enquiry, but occasionally there is a real problem where the mail service has screwed up. Either way, being there, ready to listen and offer a solution if needed is crucial; basically, I treat our customers the way I'd hope to be treated - and I wish all companies did that.

I've never shopped with Grand Prix Models, but it's certainly a name I've heard over many years, so you should have a good experience. If you're looking at UK companies, check out Hiroboy too - I've purchased things from them and can vouch for the good service they gave.

All the best

Rowan,
Will do. What I'll mostly be looking for is just some of those detail up sets and AM decals. I've got enough kits for the time being. All I'm really interested in is the Beemax Porsche 91 R GT3 when it finally comes out, and I'll be building a min of 2 of them. It's my favorite GT3 car by far. And of course it's a Porsche no less.
