Nicely done Steve. You've done a great job on your opel. I like the interesting weathering on the side panels, gives its some life. This would look great in a dio. Congrats Bruce

Nice job! I started one of these, and didn't get to finish it. It's a challenging kit, and you've made a really great job of it! Nice one. Vinnie

Jeremy, I did include a write up with the pics that included a description of the paints and weathering techniques used, but this was published as a Model on Display (which I don't believe includes narratives), so I'll touch on it here. The Opel has been heavily faded to give it a well used/worn look. The kit has been air brushed and weathered mostly with acrylics. For starters, the overall kit was shot with a base coat of Model Master Engine gray, followed by successive layers of lightened Gunship gray and dry brushed with Gull gray. The Rustall weathering system provides the rust/rough looking areas of the model. Also, here is a link to the gallery that has a few more Opel pics in it, including one with the Opel sitting next to a US Army radio command unit that is a mix of Tamiya and Roo Resin offerings. Thought they looked like a good couple. http://photos.kitmaker.net/showgallery.php/cat/15160 Kevin, no after market on the Opel, it was out of the box all the way, --- and as Vinnie mentioned, parts of this kit are a bit frustrating. My thanks to Cliff Hutchings who gave me this kit as a gift between fellow modelers---- the Opel is dedicated to our favorite "Aussie Hound" :-) :-) Thank you all for the kind comments and taking the time to post to this thread. Steve

That is beautiful. I love the weathering and I think I'm gonna use yours for a reference on painting mine. Does it have an interior? Angela
