Hey all!
One of the things I was really looking forward to on this build was the "pimped out" exhaust. A couple of ideas floated around in the grey-matter....and as I've alluded to, here's the result:

And, it continues!
Here's the windshield and frame being glued together (top and bottom are glued - I'll shift the clamps after this dries to get the sides):

Once it's totally dried (two days), I'll clean it and shoot it in it's entirety with Future.
Here are two shots (driver's and passenger's sides) showing the wheels installed. Also, the air intakes are painted black in prep for the Aber PE A/C vent covers (I'll be using the "waffle" versions):

I've also finished the steering linkage (not shown).

Rocky, thanks for the comments. Check your local Sears store as the clamps are made by Craftsman. I picked up six of them for about $6 or so. They're usually in a box in the middle of a main isle in tools or over where they have the clamps hanging. These particular clamps don't have the "crushing" power that some of the other small clamps do and their tips are soft so they "grab." Well worth having I've found.

Ola! More a-commeth!
Both the driver's side and passenger's side windows (in blue acetate) are cut and ready for glue. I've also put the "crossed-saber" decal on the Tonneau cover. Windshield and frame are in the final "glue" and dry stage. And....I've used the "waffle-pattern" A/C vents for the Deora's air dams(?).

Now, before the discerning viewer should comment, take a look at the rims. They are that way intentionally.

The sabers are great. The blue tinted windows really really shine. What else can I say - fantastic.

Thanks guys!
Technically, all I need to do is add the mirrors and just a little paint touch up at the windshield (it's now installed). I'm not sure how I managed to mess up, but the Future I shot on the inside of the windshield "orange-peeled" on me...no way to fix that without cutting it all out (and I'm not sure I'm willing to do that).
I should have the "completed" pictures up this afternoon or tomorrow.
Thanks for an enjoyable ride!

Lookin' very good.
Make sure you get a good set of pictures against a solid background for an OD feature. A sheet or pillow case on the back of a chair or over the cloths dryer control unit.
Looking forward to it.

Jesper, Andrzej,
Thanks guys...I really do appreciate the comments. There were a few "oops'o's" with this build. I look at it as a serious learning experience with some moderately steep curves.

All in all it was enjoyable. One can never complain about learning about/using new tips, tricks, and methods...this has been hugely different from my norm of building military vehicles.
Now, the neat thing is, I have in my stash an AMT Ford Ranchero (oh how I want a 1/1 version of this!!), a Life Like Mercedes SSK, and a Tamiya Toyota LeMans(?) to do. Trust you me, what I've learned during this build (thank you my enlightened brothers) will translate over to them.
Andrzej, you are correct, still workin' the "flying tank;" just need the danged tracks to come in. I've got a couple of armor things going on/coming up, then I may switch to an (gasp!) airplane, then one of the autos again. We'll see. Though this build is done, there will be others.

Robert,
Thanks for the compliments. Feedback keeps one a "truckin'!"

Heheheh!! A seriously bright-a$$ed yellow Ford Falcon. Don't know when I'll start it, but I have the kit, I have the paint.....even got some nifty PE thangs too.
Something tells me this one will have an even higher "fun-factor." Pegasus rims are really nice, but maybe I can find another company out there that makes things of this nature...toss a review in...maybe a comparison? Not sure, but I'm seriously lookin' at getting some "gold" rims...oh, and NOT spokes!
I think gold would look good with the uber-yellow.

Thanks Brian....I appreciate the cudo's. I am somewhat impatiently awaiting my next auto build (see above post). I may well be able to start it towards the end of the year....current campaign commitments and some reviews won't leave me a comfortable (read - SLOW) build time.
