Looks real good--it has the fixing up an old car/rat rod look nailed. I would have went wild with the P-51 exhaust through the hood though--I think it would have fit right in. You sure build fast!

Hermon, that thing looks great! Very reminiscant of Richie Cunningham and Danny Zucko!

I'm glad the duct tape technique worked out. In truth, modeling is just a matter of collecting techniques and applying them accordingly. Sometimes just thinking about the solution in terms of "What would look like that...?" brings a new technique into being. We all have those and I'm so glad a good percentage of us bring those techniques here and share them.

That's funny Murphy. I spent an hour surfing the net when I first started this build trying to find pictures of Zuckos' white car "greased lightning", the white one with the silver lightning bolt down the side. I found some pics and almost, almost, almost painted this one just like it. I still may do it one day.

I like how you did the seats. How did you manage to do that? Is it plastic or fabric? Looks very real.

Chris, I scuffed up the kit seat with a dremel tool then painted the inside part to look like foam padding. The duct tape is Tamiya tape cut really small and painted silver. The big rip in the back seat is actually a piece of gun cleaning patch I glued on.

Well, she ain't perfect but I'm calling her done. I picked up loads of tips from you guys that I'll use on my builds from now on. This one has a lot of flaws but I'm chalking them up to a learning experience. Besides, crapy or not I had a great time building this one.

This is awesome! I do not detect the flaws. I especially like the interior stress details to the seats. The duct tape looks real.
Ruddy Red Primer, my favorite color. I painted my wife's bicycle this color.

I like the engine compartment shot it really shows that the car war once painted green, and i like the contrast of all the different colors.
