Better late then never, eh? Here we go, the first AutoModeler Contest! This one may be a little rough around the edges, but I'm sure we'll all get through it unscathed. We'll tweak it as time goes on, so all suggestions are welcome

For this, the first contest, let's say any model built in the past 6 months(?) is eligible. Still need to find out how we'll vote.

Rules, copied from the other thread:

1-Finished model must have to do with AutoModeler (of course), cars, bikes, trucks, etc., no limitations on aftermarket items used, scale or skill level.

2-Honor system of not 'advertising' for votes.

3-1 or 2 photos submitted by users into the contest gallery. Composite photos allowed.

4-"Normal" campaign entries are allowed to be entered into the contest.

5-For now, let's just go with one winner, who will get a Feature. I'd like for the winner to send 10-15 various shots of the completed model along with a short description on scale, brand, AM used, paints, etc., anything you feel would be of benefit to the community.

6-Staff members will have final say on ties and/or any other issues that may arise.

Entries accepted until February 15, 2010 with voting from then til the end of the month.

Oh sure, the only thing I've buttoned up in the last 6 months was last night with my T-Rex on modelgeek ...guess I'll need to finish my Diamond Reo logger!

Thanks. What I couldn't figure out how to do was take a photo that has already been uploaded to a Campaign Folder, and associated it to this contest's folder. Can that be done?

I suppose "april" would be too far back, huh, for my "daily beater chevy" entry?
I lied I guess, I still have my 2010 challenger T/A ragtop{oct 18} and I never took pics of the Fiat Abarth racer I finished about 3 months ago.
Pics uploaded to the correct spot I hope.

After seeing the first three entries I think I'll wait until the next go around. My Porsche doesn't stand a chance this month.

Art - I'd say take your camera and shoot 1-2 new pics, then upload those from your puter. I tried to see if there was a photobucket link in there, but I found none so I just shot 2 pics each of my cars to use and uploaded them last night. I remember seeing under the "edit pic" button a tab to relocate said pic, but when I opened it up it had no options.

Get outta here.....get that Porsche entered. This is the FIRST contest on AM, don't you want to be a part of that? Brings up a good point, though....we'll do the entries more like Armorama next time. This is a learning experience, so bear with me

And being the first contest, I was thinking of a photo feature of all the contestants, with the winner getting his/her own feature of course. What do you all say?

So, c'mon, let's get as many entries as we can for the Automodeler Contest premiere

The more the merrier! I'm hoping to have my GMC Astro/95 finished up here in a couple of weeks, so I'll add that one, too. Hey, it's only been sitting on my workbench for two years!

The wagon looks like it'll be finished in time, eh? At least curbside.....
If not, save it for the next and find something to enter!

Good on both counts Hermon...entering that high end volkswagon now and the cuda idea for later! I just got the new 1/20 lindberg vega kit last week - hate the bogus hood scoop they give yah so I'll fill in the hood and make it look like my old one I used to own...now to find some GM light Ivy green metallic! I'm iffy about those rims too in that kit...nothing ever seems to be a shake and bake kit for me anymore!
