Erik, Kerry is correct. The Caterpillar 3408 should be either white (pre-1978 or so), or New Caterpillar Yellow. The silver does look nice, though.

Thanks for the reply's, but the engine was already glued in place.
So, it will be silver.
I like it

Now, the hood is green, not what Revell suggested, that green is no longer available, so I mixed a few colors.
Also the cabine as got is color.
Now I'm trying to get the decals in place.
Put some chrome parts to the cab.
So, there is a little progress.
Pics will follow soon.

I like the green...it's different - in a not like your garden variety store shelf paints way!
I also like the little spot mirrors on the kit's main side mirrors...I suppose this may support the high cost of these kits due to added detail.................Nah!
She's looking good!...keep up the good work and I hope to see a tank trailer next up after this...but what to pull her with?! Hmmmmmmmmm.......one build at a time I suppose.

That would be neat...I plan on a Euro truck for mine so let's see what one looks like with an american truck! I keep wanting to take the Rex mixer back half and mate it to a daycab Euro truck too...my "want to do" list is a long one!

Just let you all know it's still on my workbench.
But there is plenty of time to finish

Please finish this one. I love the Aussie trucks and this one is on top of my list of favorites!
