So....anyone interested in a Group Build? Not seeing any happening, per se. I'd be kinda diggin' on something semi-standard; auto/pickup. Nice paint, maybe some AM? Nothing like only Ford or Chevy, not that specific.
Got the itch to finally get my Ranchero going again...need some shiney paint, not camo (unless I do an Urban digital on it!).
Any thoughts? Yea or Nay?

I'm interested. What are we talking about? Just an automotive group build?
Realize the Chevy vs. Hemi is still on hiatus, I believe.
I'm ready to build an auto. That's something I haven't done in a while (outside of 1/35 trucks).

Yep Sean, an automotive group build. Simple, fun, easy, as crazy in paint or AM as the builder wants. Don't think I'd worry much on scale (have 1-24 to 1-32).
I'm in need of "Shiney."

Well, now that scouting is over me for the summer{cubmaster needs some vacation too!}, I could be interested in a 1/25 scale version om 1:1 so I could more easily envision the paint scheme I'm thinkg of doing in real life...count me in!

Bob,
I think a 1/25th version of your 1/1 would be really neat to see. Most def.

Considering I haven't finished an auto yet, I'll give it another shot
Will started builds be accepted? If so, I'll do a 1:25 to my 1:1 too.
Count me in either way Mike, I've got a few to choose from.

James, how started is..."started?"
I'd say if some basics are done, but it's 80-90% "undone," that'd be cool.
By the way, how many are needed for a Group Build here? Done forgot...

I'm in.
I wasn't able to finish the Chev vs Hemi group build on time, so I'm anxious to participate in another group build.

AM is After Market. Like Aber vents or Pegasus wheels and tires or something bought to dress the kit up (like Photo Etch for a Tank or Plane).

Write 'er up Mike and we'll get this approved. I'm in race mode so it'll either be Kimi's MP4-20 or the C5-R...been wanting to do either one of them

I know the feeling.
Don't know why, to much work I guess.
So I will give it an other try.

Slightly stalled; my brother is in town and we're putting a "overhead" over my patio...
More to follow.

I might give it a go. I don't know how much after-market stuff I have, but we'll think of something. I was just starting a Revell's Austin Powers Corvette today. The Stars and Stripes decals were shot, but Felicity Shagwell figure is still in good shape!!
I still have hopes that the project will turn out good, I just need to remind myself the goal is to always enjoy the process, improve when and where I can, but understand that if I only accept perfection, I will be detracting from the reason I build to be

I know things have stalled out on this. I apologize.
I'll see about getting something written up for this. Time frame? Not too sure. First of the year? December of this year? 6 months or 9?
Cars or pickups or vans. Your everyday "people movers" with some spice. Prefer shiney paint. (Gloss Urban could be neat)
I'm thinking my Ranchero with a bit of AM (vents, hood pins, tires and rims) and either Urban (Berlin Brigade) camo or Hi-gloss bright a$$'d lemon yellow.
  Scale? Any? 1/48 to 1/24?

I could be up for this. Re-doing all my display shelves from military to cars. Big choice from old 1/24 scale 1950s GP cars to Revell's 1/12 Shelby Mustang (getting 9 car kits for Christmas and 6 ready to go now...........)

I'd love to see that Shelby.
So, I'll adjust the Scale to include 1/12.

Depends on the dates - I'm going to build the simpler kits first as I don't want to rush either the Shelby or the big 1/24 London Routemaster bus.
Building now:
Lotus Europa
Austin-Healey 100/6
Jaguar Saloon
1930 4.5 litre Bentley
MGTC
After Christmas
1/12 Shelby
London Bus
SS100 Jaguar
1/24 Ford Capri (as the car my wife used to own)
1930s Aston Martin
1949 Talbot-Lago GP car
1950 Alfa Romeo
1948 Ford Woody

Now that the German Beauties Group Build is in the enlisting stage, I've begun to "look over the horizon" for other Group Builds. I have no problem being in charge of the GB, I would just like to see more happen here...
I have a slew of projects I'm itching to do, but was interested in seeing what types of genre are interesting to you all!
All in all I would like to see at least two more GBs for 2013, for a total of three for the year. We could use the basis of this thread to make a second GB, what say ye??
I have finally secured a permanent building area!! I definitely want to use it!!!

Alrighty folks. Got pushed in the right direction! I will write up the GB submission and have it submitted this weekend.
I have a fair bit going on, but figured a 6 month build should do.
Scale 1-76 to 1-6th
Cars or Pickup Trucks or Vans (people movers, daily drivers)
From a Lamborghini to an F-150 to a Grand Caravan and all the stuff in between.
As for "started" kits, as long as it's at least 80% INCOMPLETE, they can be included.
Other ideas?
