MPC's 1/16 'General Lee', made as a stock car racer (cos I'm not a Dukes of Hazard fan and I didn't like the expanse of orange!). Decals from the spares box, Christine because that's my wife's name and she likes this car! |Paint is a Ford rattle can. I bought this kit on sale, and I wouldn't make another! Location points are vague, moulding is 'flash city' - some places more waste than part; and the bonnet (hood) won't close unless you leave off the carb and air intake!!

Wow, great job Dave. Looks like you got through the kit flaws masterfully, my favorite of yours to date
Thanks James.
I guess I make a bit too much of the flaws in these old kits - some of the moulds are probably 20 years plus, so I shouldn't expect Tamegawa quality. It can get frustrating though - then I remember why I'm a modeller and just do 'em for fun, and if it ain't perfect then so long as I'm happy..........

The flaws are down to the age of the moulds, and at the end of the day we're modellers and we can deal with them. This kit and others of the same age give you a large-scale car for small-scale money; so get one and enjoy it like I did!
