I'm in for that. I have 3 - 1/6 scale that I have built that I have never posted. I don't know how to post pics on here?

Got most of the assembly complete and have got a start on adding throttle and tranny linkages and brake lines. Seats and pipes will stay off until after painting.

Getting nearer to the end of this one.
Amber signals-- white glue and food coloring by windysean, on Flickr
I had myself convinced I was so smart, but when I switched to red color, the solution kept beading up. I tried quickly to add rubbing alcohol in the mix, but that didn't fix it. A drop of dishwashing detergent finally allowed it to spread evenly (as the amber did somehow-- maybe there was oil on some parts).
Final photos coming today or tomorrow. Having been through this build, I have a new respect for motorcycle modelers! As someone posted earlier, it's all about the bits and pieces.
Cheers!

Thanks, Pete. This is such an utterly simple kit that without the extra detailing it would simply make a mockery of this campaign and all the great work everyone else is doing. Can't have that!
Raining all day here, but hopefully that won't stop me from getting some poly-acrylic primer laid down after work.

Good work Sean.

Drumroll please...
after several months, and some surprisingly foul language
...The complete project!
I posted two smaller photos in the gallery (after several years, I don't have too much space left. ) but here are the bigger Flickr copies...

Oooh. So shiny!
After photos, I packed this one up and gave it to my supervisor at work, who is a new Harley enthusiast. He was very excited to see the little version of his bike. Hopefully seeing this on the shelf helps get him through the Wisconsin winter!
Cheers!

Thanks, Mark and Pete!
Looking back at it, the thing that really makes this pop is the mix of flat black upholstery and shiny black panels, and of course all that chrome. I had grand intentions of all kinds of customization going in, but this turned into a straight out-of-box build of the Aoshima kit.

Sean - that's shiny. Nice job.
Well as usual I'm lagging behind the rest of you , thought I'd better do a quick update.
1st attempt at sculpting (bike and rider), I'm sort of pleased with results so far - still have to do a head though .
Simple wire armature then cheap Fimo, then GreenStuff.
Bike was roughly made up with plastic tube and basic shaped blocks then slathered with putty (still lots to do)
It was all glued together, unfortunately overnight the gremlins snuck in and misaligned everything so it had to be cut apart again ready for another attempt
And finally, I'll plonk it on a small base
I might have to ask our beloved Campaign Leader for a weeks extension, as I'm not sure I'll manage to finish by the deadline.
Cheers for popping by for a looksie and congrats to all those that have completed their builds.

Extraordinary, Rog!
I hope I get mine done--just realized I have a bunch of supplies I didn't ship to the new location and have had to order online. May not get here in time...

I agree. Roger, you do nice work! We don't see too much free-hand sculpting here, and yours is impressive!

Sorry not been on last couple of days I was at SMW 2015 in Telford. However I will ask for a couple of weeks extension, as you guys need to get across the finish line. Roger that is some kickass sculpturing buddy. Look forward to seeing it progress.

Peter,
please don't feel obligated to pursue an extension on my account unless there are others who requested it. I taking it as a challenge to finish by the original deadline. Went ahead with laying down decals without solvent so I'm committed at this point!

Cheers to all for the compliments. Must admit it's been both fun and a pain in the b**t on this rather steep learning curve.
Just spent a few hours pottering about cleaning up the joints ready for round 2 of glueing.
Huge thanks to Pete, really appreciate the extension and the chance to finish this.
Some progress to follow shortly ......

may well dip out on this one , unless I build my TAMIYA HONDA CB750 as been exceptionaly busy with commissions for my paintings , interviewing to move my employment into head injury rehabilitation and dealing with insurance companies , recovery companies and the police to get my bike back after it was stolen and used as a getaway vehicle for a robbery ,,,,,,,,,,,,,collected all parts together and nearly ready to put him back together (plus custom parts to cheer the little thief up ) all in all been a tough few months............

Hey Paul
Thats a sore one buddy. Hope it all works out. I asked for a 2 week extension so you guys can finish off your builds. If you do drop out I understand mate.

My 1/35 scale bike is made up of small parts that snap of if you look at them!
Some clean up to do and then primer.
It's going to be down to the line on this one.

Only a coat of varnish, washes, and pigments left to do on mine. Still hoping to make it by the original deadline.
