Revell of Germany have released a rather striking Schlingmann Unimog RW1 universal emergency vehicle in 1/24th.

The all-wheel drive Unimog proved itself as a universal emergency vehicle for immediate assistance at the scene of an accident, at the scene of a fire or in the event of a disaster. For example, the rescue vehicle 1 was equipped with a self-regulating generator for three-phase and alternating current or a hydraulic winch with a tractive force of five tons.

Now that is a cool looking unit. It would make a great display beside my old Opel Blitz Fire Truck in the same scale! Hmmmmmmmmm Cheers, D

That would be a rerelease, as Revell has kitted it before. 2003, I think. They have a whole series of that same Unimog with 3 or 4 other fire engine bodies, a snowplow/street sander, a rally truck with roll cage and a roadside service truck (off the top of my head). They are really getting their monies worth out of those molds. Be cautious, the last few I've gotten have had a lot of flash, and the tires have the tendency to harden and disintegrate when in contact with standard styrene.
