Corvette done. Not so happy with the finish on this one. I used a different brand of paint and it's reacted slightly with the varnish. For such an old kit it went together surprisingly well.

Dave, nice job on the C1, cool little hot rod.
Steph, that one really came to life with the paint job, nice choice of colors and detail painting.

I knew fully well when I set the time-stop to 1960 that it was a difficult thing to determine exactly, since "Vintage" and "Classic" are really very vague terms.
I'll accept it. I always thought, though, the first Ford Mustang came out in 1965. I was led to believe that the Mustang was made in my honor since I was born in 65'... Maybe Linberg's model were of the one Gurney drove?
In my son's words then "You'll fit right in with that GB, your so old that you are a Classic..."
First Mustang actually came out in 1964 I think, as a 64 1/2 model.. IIRC...

hello,Dave nice work
I'll call it finished

Lovely work Steph.
May I make one small suggestion for the next one, try filing or sanding the control levers to make them thinner and look flatter like the real thing.. if you know what I mean, but again, lovely model!
Cheers

Yeah Warren I've been looking into this and what you've said seems to be correct.
There was a test vehicle used around 63' though, but I think that car differed from the production model...

There was a concept car in 1963 named the 'Mustang II'. I have the Lindberg kit of it in the to-do pile. It really looks like the forerunner of the classic 'Stang, the main difference is the nose.

I'm in the same boat as you Brian, but I've really been enjoying looking at everyone's builds here. Any plans for another round?

Likewise for me! I'm ready for the racing build though, and the Mad Max-type build forming up now in Autos here!
Hoping for more free time in 2014!
