Thanks again. Ok, here's first round of weathering done. MIG pigment (post apocalyptic earth) and Winsor&Newton oils used to get the job done.

Not quite calling it ready yet, but so close

Final mini-update, scratch build side mirror. I'll paint this turkey and then it's time to take those final pictures.

Very excellent build Tomi. I have really enjoyed watching your project come to life through all of it's phases. You did a wonderful job on it and I can honestly say it is one of the best scratch-build projects I have seen. You should feel proud of your work and I am hoping that you will have another such project soon that I can watch.

Congratulations.

So, this thing is evolving to diorama from the movie Mad Max 2. Here's sneak preview of set up:

And thus next project is to build Max's Interceptor, once again using Aoshima kit which is great but benefits from few tweaks. Like roof spoiler and rear wheel flares:

Spoiler is solid (well, it's actually hollow) wedge, and flares are missing small step. Here's some work already done:

Also nose needs bit cutting as it's damaged after rear ending Landau:

Here's better angle to show work done in the rear:

Figure of Max Rockatansky in works, combination of Tamiya (white bits) and Fujimi (grey bits). Fujimi set had suitable head, all it needed was haircut and looked from distance it might just pass as young Mel Gibson LoL

"I'm just here for the guzzaline" Basic construction of figure is done, just some finishing touches before painting. Not 100% copy of real thing but basic elements are there.

Everything is looking great Tomi. Again I am impressed with your scratch-building skills. I love Max's leg brace. It looks great. Looking forward to your next installment.

Small update, The Dog. Sawed off his head and repositioned it so that I can put him behind driver's seat.

Max painted. I'm not much of a figure painter, getting skin tone right is nightmare. But once inside car I'll think this is ok.

Agreed, looking really good.

Love the dio base as well, earth tones and rusty muffler are spot on.

Looking forward to the next update.

Cheers, D

Interior 99% done. Not 100% movie correct, I decided to go with artistic licence with this one.
