I've been sort of a background guy here on these sites, and I've noiced that there have been a lot og great campaigns out there (mostly on Armorama). So, I'm trying to get some feed back on a comercial vehicle campaign for here on Modelgeek. How about it?

Here are the tentative rules for the campaign should I get enough interest:
1. Civalian vehicles only. No military vehicles will be allowed unless they are in civalian use (ie a 2-1/2 ton or 5-ton farm truck)
2. No pick-ups, SUVs, campers.
3. Trucks may be OOB, highly modified, tricked out, or whatever suits your fancy.
4. All makes & models of vehicles are allowed.
5. All model manufactures & after market manufacturers are allowed.
6. Have fun!

Some examples of kits would be the Dodge L-700, Ford LN8000, Ford LNT8000, Kenworth W900 & K100, GMC Astro & General, Peterbilt 359, etc.

Ok, I need ten people. Who's game?

Hmm.. I do have a payhauler and a KW 900 Wrecker I've been thinking about building some time in this lifetime I'm a little skeptical on you getting 10 takers, but I'll see what kind of response you get..Brian

I don't think I'm going to get ten people either, but that's what I need to start the campaign. Looks like this one isn't going to get out of the garage!

I'll throw my name into this Campaign.
Might be able to persuade a couple of others that tend to hang out at another Forum (Truck related ) .
It'll be good to see a Campaign that doesn't involve things that go bang bang or chase each other around an oval track .
Hope you get the numbers.

I'd love to jump on board but i'm kind of snowed under with scratchbuilding a 975mm long mobile crane, although as i've discovered, there is 'another place' that is dedicated entirely to these types of models (pm me if you havent stumbled across it yet)

Sure fire apparatus count. Pumper, engine, truck or hook & ladder. Whatever floats your boat! Just no boats!

I've ordered the ARII 1:32 Daihatsu Mira Walk-Throug Van.
Is it allowed? It's definetly not a pickup, SUV or camper... But it's not a 'real' truck.
It's such an ugly vehicle that it becomes beautifull!

As doctor Bones would say, while reading his tricorder: 'It's live JIm, but not as we know it...'

It's a van, based on the little Daihatsu Mira / Charade chassis. So it's very usable in the small streets of Tokyo and other cities in Japan. Made in early eighties untill some years ago.
I'm not sure if the Mira Walk Through was ever seen outside Japan. I'm still searching for info about that.

Edit:
I've seen pictures of these vans on English Mini Coopers chassis as well...

I have to agree, paul, that one would be the cabbage patch doll of delivery trucks...but if jim says it's in then so it is.
Thought I had a white conventional from ebay last night around 10:12pm ... I thought wrong{hahaha}...jim, were you second bidder? I was second highest

...do we have enough people now?

And that's ten! Wicked cool! Now I just have to re-read the Campaign page to make sure I'm doing this right. Sounds like everyone is pretty set to go, so I'll try and get this going soon. Now, question for you guys: does anyone know how to make a campaign ribbon? Preferably something with a truck on it!

Bob,
I was the first bidder on that White Road Boss. Guy lives down the road from me in Syracuse, so I was going to pick it up instead of having it shipped to me. No sense in UPSing something down the road, but I didn't win it either. I'm cheep, I won't pay over $35 for a kit.

That AMT old ford 900 with usps trailer had the "one" 27' trailer. I finally aquired my 3rd kit so I can do my triplets...ebay can be kind every once in a while.

Jim...now that I know that, I'll watch for the handle while hunting. You see the other one?{RBS }
