AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH.........................curse this campaign addiction!!
I'm in, I have a police car in mind that I want to build. I will post a photo of it soon.
I haven't participated in anything here at AutoModeler before so this should be fun.

Here is what I going to build for this campaign.

I am going to just build it as an out of box build. However I am going to do a lot of detail painting so it doesn't look too plain.

I'm now working on having the Decals for my Fictional dept printed up.
Diecast and Decals came recomended over at Scale Firehouse.
Joe has been great to work with so far. (I'm awaiting the proofs to OK them for printing)

Here is the progress on my entry.

I had something come up back at the beginning of March and I didn't get any modeling done since then. I am just now able to get going again.
I repainted the body of the car gloss white. I changed the interior from blue to black. I got all of the molding painted black. I painted the chrome strip on the grill. I took the headlight assembly apart and painted around the lights and added orange for the turn signals. You can't see it in the picture but I also painted the shotgun. I also got the tire/wheel assemblies done.
I am hoping to be able to finish it up within the next week so that I can get it finished by the deadline.
This was a project that I thought would be fairly simple but I have learned that it isn't as easy I thought it would be. It is a lot different than building an armor project. I have a whole new respect for the automobile modelers out there.
I will post a final project picture soon.

Well I got busy last night and this morning and finished up my project. So here is my finished entry for this campaign.

I learned a lot working on this one so now I have some experience for the next one.
I uploaded the photos to the gallery.
Thanks for the campaign Matt.

Matt,
I suppose you could extend the deadline until they end of May if you wanted to. It's your Group Build. Other than Matt, Bob, and possibly myself; who could use more time?

Part of my problem is the nice weather..... It's getting me out of the modeling mood. Soo may outdoor projects (and some other indoor ones that need nice weather to work outside ofn stuff)
On that note... the new end date will be Sept 30, 2009 may as well make it a year...LOL
I know I started adding scratch details to my Trumpy ALF.... and started a few other models as well.

I'm always down for an emergency vehicle build. As I type this, I'm about 90% done my Peel Regional Police Chevy Impala =D Sadly, when applying the decals to the side, the print began to fade and crackle from the actual clear sheet, leaving me to get new decals =[
I'm actually using the same impala from a few posts above me

I didn't enlist, but I do hope this build will be offered again in the future as I have the kits to enter into the Group Build and am very interested in building this topic in the future.

Peter,
It's never too late to enlist! You've got until the end of September

My ALF is coming along nicely. Thank you for asking. I want to get a few more things done before I post some pics.
Hey, do we have a Campaign Ribbon yet?

Doesn't look like there's a ribbon yet. Any volunteers to design one? I'm afraid I'm useless with that sort of stuff. I wonder if an animated gif would work as a ribbon though - would be super cool to have a flashing emergency lights ribbon

I just happened to go and check and there is one now. I'm not sure how long it has been there but it's there.
