Had a closer look at the GTO and the 442. I've decided to build the Jo-han '70 Olds 442.
I have yet to decide the body color. I'll visit the local hardware store and see what I can get.

Nice call on the Olds. It will be good to see one of those old JoHan kits built up, no matter what the color!

As for me, I've decided to go with the '49 Ford coupe, probably built OOB, although the kit does include some interesting custom parts. A suede finish, whitewalls and some scallops, perhaps?

Excellent choice. The posibilities are almost endless with a '49 coupe.

So...are we all ready for this build? I know I'm looking forward to it.

As for the start and end dates, what are they? Are we building Monday through Sunday?

Are you guys talking about starting on Monday Dec 1st?

If so, I'll try to join. I don't have much free time having to deal with tight deadlines in my job, but I'll see what I can do.

I'm ready too. Cleaned off the bench of all the Railtank parts and gathered all the tools and such to go 1/25.
I'm in with a 69 Trans Am.

Not sure how it's going to be built, but, I'm thinking "sleeper". Ugly on the outside, mean and fast on the inside.

I dunno. I'll let the model itself tell me how it wants to be built.

Zen-modeling.

Honestly? I think we should all do an individual Build Log for our cars and trucks. I know that's what I'll be doing. Keep an eye out.

I think it should be up to each person, you can post your progress here or in a separate build, if you post in a separate build in the title put one week build so everyone knows what to look for. I have already started mine and will post pics tonight or Tuesday.

The Porsche looks great Mike. An interior like that would take me ages to finish.

I preped the body last night. Quite a lot of flash and some serious sinkmarks A little more sanding and it's ready for primer. The interior is ready for paint. I have assembled most of the engine.

I hope I can post pictures later today. My gallery is full and for some reason I have to delete 10 images to be able to upload 1. I have registered at Imageshack. Don't know how well that works though.

No pics yet. Dug out the Revell '99 Chevy Silvarado. Have a crapload of subassemblies going as all 3 seats were 2 pcs. gonnaneed some putty. I'll have to paint the engine before attaching any more parts to it. I'll try to take a couple pics before goin any further tonight.

Nice work on your Porsche, it sounds like everybody has gotten off to a good start. I already have paint on the body and hood and painted the engine block and heads to match the car, almost out of flat black for the chassis and interior so i will have to get more, pics to come later today.

Yeah, I gotta go find the right color paint too, today. The Mrs. wanted this one done up in a certain way, so, it's off to ACE for a rattle can. I'll finish the engine today and probable wrap up the undercarriage too. The interior gets started today (paint) too.

Woo hoo!

Thanks guys.
Here's an encore for the interior

And here, we are Tuesday morning. Got quite a bit done last night. Painted the glass moulding and assembled the suspension and exhaust. Even got some polishing done.

I've done American muscle car kits but to tell the truth they have no appeal for me. I prefer 2 seater sports cars and aside from the Corvette, and now the Viper there are none. On top of that Corvette and Viper kits come in 1/25 and my collection is 1/24
