Either would be great D. Although, personally I'd never trash a Plymouth by entering it into a demo derby. That's what chevys and fords are for.

Don't forget to sign up guys. It's now listed on the group builds page.

hi,
As Mopar AHB cop cars & taxis are unitized bodies and have many extra welds because of the severe service they encounter, these cars are prized by many demo drivers. The additional stiffness allows these cars to survive better than frame/body cars. At least this is what the people trying to buy my ex-cop car Diplomats tell me.
Good luck with your build

Hiya Hermon, took your advice and had a browse on eBay and got this at the right price ....

Now since I would be embarrassed to be seen driving this on public roads, it will get the DD treatment !!

hi,
I usually build armor, but being a car guy in real life i thought this would be a good way to break back into some car modeling, so I guess that makes me an FNG (as in the military). As a Mopar guy I couldn't bear to trash a (you fill in the blank) so I rummaged around.... and lo & behold a Lindberg Ford police car fell off a top shelf, almost braining me(small loss, not much gray matter left),so I'm assuming it's begging to be built. I don't have a clue about putting on photos, but I'm taking some pics as I go along, so if I figure out how to do I will have some record of the disas... uh, build
At any rate I'm looking forward to this, and encouragement is welcome.

Bad mistake Jake, now there will be no shutting Voncuda up !!

This will be my first car in about 100 years, so you're not alone there mate.

As for dumping pics into the forum thread, Photobucket makes it super easy if you have an account there. If not, set one up and I'll walk you through it when the time comes.

John, glad to have ya aboard. First rule is, don't take the advice of our local mentally unbalanced populace (aka Aussiereg, KSO).
Rule #2 is, you can't trash a Mopar in a demolition derby. The result will be eternity in Hell. It's in the Bible. Look it up.

hey,
Damian, thanks for the offer of help.I will need it. I've got quiet time Sunday afternoon, wife will be off with the churchladies, so I'll look in to the Photobucket thing then.

Hermon, I know I've read it too, somewhere, sometime. That's why that Ford Crown Vic will be my Vic-tum (I know that was bad.....but the door was sooo wide open...) Once I get this photo deal under control, I'll post some 1:1 Mopar stuff inhabiting the back yard.

I've copied the rules, and as in real life I will cheat,uh follow them as best I can

KSO that Chevelle is way cool

Funny thing...there was this Zombie standing out on the sidewalk right in front of the house holding a sign saying " sign up for the demolition build or I'll eat you"..well, after the neighbors dog ate him I got to thinking maybe I should join anyway.......
Well, all the Mopar kits are too nice to be tossing in this kind of game so I think either a chevy or a ford will do the deed fine....so, it's a toss up between a '55 chevy, what's left of a '65 elcamino with no roof, '66 merc, or a '40 ford{lindberg trailer load car}....I'm liking the '66 merc hard top!
I'm in! Now it's 5.

What is this? Pick on the fat kid month?

Dude, I'm almost positive when I started this group build that the title wasn't "beat the hell out of a Mopar". Hey, it's cool. But now my car is officially gonna be a pink chevelle with a ford engine.......with pontiac rims, oldsmobile steering wheel, and a lincoln drivers seat.

Welcome aboard Bob....I guess.
Did the neighbors dog seriously eat my zombie?

Cool, I love photo's of mountains of rusting hulks !!

Once you get a photo downloaded to Photobucket, cursor over the pic and a "pop-up" will appear beneath. Simply copy/paste the bottom tab of that pop-up list into your forum post and you're there.

Cheers, and CHEVS RULE

hi,
Not sure what happened but after setting up Photobucket, my computer crashed big time (expensive too). The computer tech stated some virus had attached itself to the download causing the problem(????). Not being computer literate, I honestly don't know what happened, only that the darn thing wouldn't work at all. Iwas given an older computer for 'services rendered' so I'm gonna play with that one when I return from Beantown on some family health issues
Thanks for the interest, when I get set up I'll be looking for some help.

Rule#3 is "Completely Ignore Rule#2"

My build is taking shape in my twisted mind, the '69 Plymouth will be done up in P-47 Camo (Olive Drab/Neutral Grey) with the driver's door all Neutral Grey, and a few spare decals from my P-47 stash to pretty it up. That decided all that remains is to do some damage !!

Where 'ya at Hermon, you've been a bit quiet lately mate ???

My guess is Hermon is out planning evil things to do to a chevy!

Bob, really man......don't encourage the Aussie hillbilly. And yes, I have been having dreams lately about just what year and model of Chevy I'm gonna bash for this build. Looking like a mid 70's malibu right now. Paint and battle scar scheme will remain a secret.

Hi guys,
I'd like to sign up to this group build please

Not a great deal of choice of kits over this side of the Pond but I just found a guy on Ebay with a few late '50's kits at a good price... so maybe a 1960 Pontiac Bonneville Hardtop or 1958 Chevy Impala

Cheers,
Steve
