Nice find Michael, I managed to pick up the race version of this kit last year so if best of British is next that may be my entry.
Anyway still trying to work out how to post an image from Flicker using an Ipad as I now have a very nice '58 Chevy Impala in the stash.

Great pick-up Luciano, gotta love the fins and bling on the '58 Chevy!
I am picking up a rumbling towards "Best of British" in the crowd, I will raise it in the Group Build Themes thread as an option to the Racing theme and see which way we might go.
Cheers, D

Tell you the truth D, I watched an episode of
Fantom Works Series 4 Episode 17, the other week and they had a 58 Impala on that in black and as soon as I saw it I was on the web looking to see if anyone did a kit. A real beauty of a car.

You need to spend more time here mate. Rowan did an
In-Box review and has a
Build Log Thread going for Buddy Holly's '58 Impala.

I know what your saying but the review and the build didn't inspire me to the car, it was ner another Chevy, then I saw the program with a real car that well that inspired me especially in the black with red interior and the chrome.
Of late my 'Cuda has stalled due to trying to find one part for the engine bay that I've seen online but it's out of stock everywhere I've looked, that has just made me loss enthusiasm. It's only a very tiny part but important to the look I want.

I totally understand. Sometimes things don't quite click with you, and sometimes they just jump right out and slap you in the face!

D,
That's some nice haul from the model Fairy. Love the Vette, but the Opel truck conversion really just jumped to #1 on my "D Build List"

Hi again
My wheelie thing arrived as hoped.

I get a real kick out of chatting about F1 with Joel, so I couldn't resist getting this reminder of bygone days while I continue to wait for Ebbro's Lotus 49 to reappear on the shelves in the UK:

Honda's first winner! To Jesper's point, the variety continues. Japanese miniaturization in action, a 1.5 litre V12. Love to see this built.
cheers
Michael

Damian: That would be one super cool project. When do you start
Rowan: Great buy there. Was quite positiv you'd bought an open wheeler, when you said you'd ordered something Joel would get a kick out of.

Oh well, I suppose I should do an In-Box review, and start another Build Log Thread.

I'm trying to imagine a 1.5l V12 - it sounds like the pistons are the size of sewing thimbles. Pretty car though.

Rowan,
I love it! Actually I've got to get my rump in gear and get one, as 1.5 liter engines F1 cars aren't exactly filling the race car shelves.

Lee,
Like you I can't imagine what that engine must have sounded like. The specs are amazing enough:
48-valve 1,495.28 cc V12 engine (58.1 x 47.0 mm), a water-cooled, transversely mounted unit which reportedly gave 230 bhp (170 kW) at 13,000 rpm.[1] The engine was safe to 14,000 rpm, which was unusually high for a 1960s engine design.
Back then 2 cycle engines didn't wind that high. To bad that the engine and car were to heavy to really be competitive, and usually both cars broke down during the race.

Hi again
Here's the Honda on show at
Goodwood Festival Of Speed. That V12 sounds like a swarm of rather angry wasps!
I'll work up a review of the kit over the weekend and then see if I can find room on the workbench to start building the little beastie. I'm certainly going to have fun adding all those fuel lines...
;)
All the best

Hi, guys!
Ready now for my second coming (It sounds like cheap horror movie) from vacation.
Just in the week after my arrival, I have received these two kits for review.
The Mustang is a commission as well, while the Ford pick-up will join the
Blue Oval campaign

Cheers!

Nothing in styrene for me this week, but I am excited about this delivery, especially after the very positive opinions expressed by the paint guru's hereabouts!

The Guardsman Blue is for this guy:

The Viking Blue looks to be a good match for the Penant Blue on this '54 Vette:

I thank you Jesper for the recommendation on the Viking Blue, it looks like a decent match and I wasn't aware of it as an option.
I'm really looking forward to trying them out.

Nice collection of goodies the Jesper. Have you tried out the AK Xtreme Metal before? I am very impressed with this product.
The car kits are all excellent choices as well. I keep looking at the ICM Model T kit range and I think I need to pick one up soon.
Can you do an in-box review for us on that one?

Jesper,
Nice haul there. Looking forward to your build of that ICM 1914 Fire truck, and the AAR Cuda. Always wanted a real one, but went with a 302 Mustang instead.
