All I saw was "'57 CH...." and I got excited for a second

Quoted Text

That's quite a haul Luciano. 6 Mopars and a Ford, well done

Totally agree, some great looking classics there and a few that I haven't seen built up yet! Excellent Stashology Luciano.

Cheers, D

lol D, there may be one 50's Chevy join the stash as I've seen a custom paint job I'd like to try and recreate.

Thanks, there is still one or two to arrive and I forgot to take a picture of some red and black wire I got for the battery leads, now to find the battery terminal clips. I found a set of P/E with them for sale but can't remember where and by who, the set also had the spark plug H/T lead tidy on it.

Mmm... Think I have a thing for the Charger as that's six 67 - 71 classics in the stash plus a modern SRT8 Super Bee version.
I do like the look of that '60 Ford Starliner though

Totally agree on that score, it's the pick of the bunch for me. The front end is unmistakeably Ford, but the back roof slope and the tail fins really remind me of the '59 Impala.

Hi again

I nice little package arrived today from Hiroboy with some treats for my Lotus 49B and Lamborghini Miura:

I've been keen to try Zero Paints - and I went for the easy option for the tobacco sponsor logos for the Lotus rather than mess about trying to match the lettering with my rather ancient (and depleted) collection of Letraset.

All the best

Nice set of paints Rowan.

I have a Miura, in my stash. I have yet to decide, on a color. That green looks pretty good. Could be a contender, for my Miura.

Very nice pickup Rowan, I keep hearing good things about Zero paints, and I have just discovered that BNA here in Melbourne carry a big range. I will be ordering some soon to try out, and they even have the "Guardsman Blue" that I need for my Cobra!

Hi again

It was the turn of purchases from Model Hobbies to arrive today with two items that I'll review in due course - Tamaiya's 1:24 Mercedes-Benz 300SL and early-style 1:20 racing seat belts:

Rowan, the Tamiya Mercedes 300 SL is absolutely gorgeous. From what I have seen, the space frame looks very impressive, Will be interesting to see how that builds.

Hi Jesper

Yes - based on first inspection, the Merc looks a real beauty! It's good value for money too, even at its import price.

All the best

Great pick-up Rowan, it is an absolute classic. A good friend of mine built this kit a while back and it built up beautifully with no issues to report. I will try to find a couple of images to share here.

Got a few items, last week.
A wee bit of paint and wheels. The Phat daddis 23" looks pretty cool, I think. The Sovereign wheels look amazing, but are ridiculously small. My idea was to use them on AMT's '65 Lincoln, but given the size, I doubt I can use them at all.
MR. Surfacer will be a first time for me, looking forward to trying it. The alu-colors and Tamiya racing white are for a near future project.

Hi Jesper

Nice haul! I don't think we've ever covered those wheels on Auto Modeler, so do you fancy reviewing them? It would also be great to see your take on the latest Model T - because I have a feeling you're more acquainted than any of us with ICM's series.

@ Damian - the more I look at Tamiya's Merc, the more impressed I am! Rather than a couple of shots, do you think you could convince your friend to submit a Feature's worth?

All the best

He is an occasional contributor on Kitmaker, I will see if I can get a few more from him.

Totally fabricated, but a scenario that must have occurred all over the world numerous times. I know I climbed all over my grandfathers old Zephyr every holiday on the farm as a child. I would love to have that sitting in the shed to tinker with.

Joel, I really wish it was true. At one stage in my early teens my father had our 67 Parisienne, a Bonneville, and two '64 Laurentian Pontiacs sitting in our driveway. You couldn't ever wipe the smile off my face if I still had even one of those cars today.

As they say, dreams are free, perhaps this story is my dream

Well, they say that admitting that you have a problem is the first step.

Hello, my name is D and I am a Chevoholic!

There, now I feel much better.

So, the story goes, I am interstate for a couple of days on a work trip, and a client had to delay a meeting with me (see, it's not my fault), so I had time to drop in to a little hobby shop that often buys and sells collections. It just happens to be the same shop where several years back I picked up the 57 Nomad/El Camino conversion that I am working on currently. Lo and behold, what do I see on the shelf, all pristine and factory wrapped and beautiful? And at a great price?

I'm not at all embarrassed to say that I danced a little jig and grabbed it and hugged it. CCTV be damned! This is destiny!

Hey, I thought I nailed the Michael Jackson spin and the David Lee Roth high-kick. I will be out of traction in a week or so.

Against an overwhelming flood of Chevrolets and other Americana I thought I would try and stem the tide with a couple of cars from over the pond
Firstly, the most beautiful car in the world, or so say people who know more than me

And probably the best little race/road car in the world, or so say people who know more than me

cheers

Michael, you didn't just stem the tide, you pushed it back! Talk about opposite end of the spectrum!

Very nice. How about you get some nice photos of the Citroen DS21 Sprues and do an In-Box review for us. At this stage we have the News Article for the pending release of this kit back in March this year, as well as an In-Box review from back in May 2018 for the Ebbro Citroen DS19 HERE .

If you want to get really keen, we have no News or Reviews on the "Aoshima Beema" at all!

Cheers, D
