Hi, guys!
I received today my Porsche, but I couldn't have it sailing alone on the treacherous Caribbean Sea, so I have appointed escort:
Dodge Deora, one of the weirdest cars ever, acclaimed by the American public, but a "Wrong size Isetta", if you ask me... However, ugly enough for me to endear her and she'll get a livery to match her ugliness for sure!
'34 Ford Pick-up - I really want to get building this one - at the latest for the Blue Oval Campaign - and it is going to be as stock as it can be:
... And, of course, my favorite looser ever: the Edsel. This I'm not sure yet if I'm going to do it with the Continental kit - perhaps not:
I was lacking since long some decent metallic acrylics and, finally, I've got some. I couldn't find Citadel (whatever the name) but I found what is credited as the second best: Vallejo Air. I even try the chrome today on my Porsche engine and - for an acrylic, it looks great. THe clear coats are for quick in-betweens, whenever the case will be:
Cheers!
Gabriel

Very nice mail-call Gabriel, some great variety there (unlike me with my Chev obsession ).
That Deora looks like it came straight out of the Thunderbirds series.
Cheers, D

Great buy's there Gabriel. The Edsel will never win a beauty contest, but makes an awesome display model.

Very nice buy there Gabriel, I must admit that I quite like the look of that Edsel and have been tempted on several occasions when I’ve seen it.
I’ll keep an eye out for your pickup build as that looks like another nice kit and something I may look at when it comes time for the pre 40’s build campaign.

Cheers, D.! I see nothing wrong in loving a particular model. I actually sort of envy you and Joel for consistency and focus on a subject. Would somebody ever take me seriously if I claim that I am a VW & Mercedes guy? I don't act accordingly at all!
... and yes! Deora is "something else".

Jesper, I think you have noticed already: my criteria on American cars seems to be their ugliness Yes, Edsel is ugly - I think so too - but it has something interesting about it, that "hard to catch" something. And the lack of B pillar brought it into my list!

Littorio, than you for your interest. Unfortunately, none of these is earmarked for immediate "slaughter". If my previsions are correct, the earlies one to reach my bench will be the '34 Ford Pick-up, in October!
Yes, I like them all - but I have other priorities.

Littorio, I'm quite impressed with your haul, and especially intrigued by Ranchero as well. Not because is a Ranchero, but because is manufactured by Trumpeter. Do you care to take a few shots with the sprues?
Thanks!

+2 on the Ranchero. Paint it like the one in Goldfinger and add the compressed Lincoln block in the bed.

Gabriel and David, no problem, I’ll get some photos taken tomorrow, the lights fading fast here as it’s becoming very over cast. Note it does include a surf board.

Very nice mail call Luciano, more classic muscle in the stash is always good!
I've seen some very nice builds of the Trumpeter Fords, you should enjoy that one. HERE is one of my favourites.

Haha, no D I was thinking the modern 2010 Mustang.
Yes quite a stash and I must admit that I’m considering getting shot of most of my aircraft and armour, even though I have yet to complete a car for a long time I’m enjoying it more than when I build aircraft or armour.

I know what you mean. I have offloaded most of my 1/48 aircraft stash to fund my car stash, and a few larger scale aircraft kits. As they say, a change is as good as a holiday! I am still very interested in WWII warbirds and will no doubt get back to them one day.

Postman came around twice, last week.
First two kit's were delivered. A Corvette, for me and a Shelby GT500, for my son. He really wanted to try a car kit and I gave him free choice, from some Revell kit's that were on sale. He quickly picked the Shelby. Let's see, if I can get him to sign up here.
Next delivery was my absolut favorit US car magazine. The swedish Power magazine. Awesome mag.

Nice one Jesper, you and D have both now got one of those 58 Corvettes and I’m so tempted to get one even though it’s out of my self imposed timeline. The magazine looks interesting I’m going to look and see if there is anything similar over here, in the mean time I’ve been watching loads of videos on YouTube of real car restorations and custom shows, giving me plenty of ideas.
Well postie (Amazon) turned up at 20:30 last night with a parcel plus the normal postie at a more normal morning time had two parcels from the bay.
That’s now 5 classic ‘stangs, 2 modern ‘stangs and a funny car ‘stang in the stash.

Hi again
Postie's delivered a neat package this morning:
It's my first Ebbro kit, so I'm really excited to see what it's like. The masking tape looks like it could be good (I'll give it a test for review), and adding the packs took the order up to where it qualified for free postage from Model Hobbies.
All the best
Rowan
