Well my first victim has arrived, Tamiya's Alpine Renault A110, Monte Carlo rally 71.

Andy, sharp looking car and pretty unique in Renault stable. The kit is rather old (the plastic) and probably molded in metallic blue, but nonetheless nice. The Cartograf decals are new additions (maybe masks and metallic transfers?)

I only had a quick look in the box, an yep, metallic blue plastic, and my first thought was, "that will save having to paint it "lol.
I will dig deeper into the box at the weekend, and take a few content shots for the blog.

Another couple of kits from a local Facebook dealer, both second hand but unstarted and complete, and both at great prices.
58 Corvette Roadster, because, well Corvette!
56 Bel Air Hardtop because they don't make a 56 Bel Air Ragtop, so this one will be going under the knife.

Just ordered Revell's '58 Corvette
Luciano: A cool trio. I, myself, am a bit reluctant to take on another MPC kit, but then again a '69 Charger will always look good.

A good day today, I managed to fit the final piece of the Tri-5 puzzle into place.
Once again, courtesy of a local Facebook BSS page.
Now, what sort of a Site Admin and Group Build Leader would I be if I didn't actually participate?
Courtesy of the same modeler. Boxes a both a bit rough, but the contents are untouched and the prices were very good as I have bought a few kits from this guy in the past.

D, I'm more of a mid 60's too early 70's person but that 58 Corvette and that Nomad are certainly pull at me.

Well I had to order some paint for my car builds and well you can’t just order paint can you?
Engine paints - Chrysler blue, Pontiac blue and Chevy red.
Chrome silver, Shine silver, met black, wine red, yellow green and UENO black.
Wine red and shine silver are for the Hemi’cuda custom paint.

Yep D, been bitten hard and well and truly infected, the weird thing is my favourite is the El Camino!
There was one a few years back at a mechanics workshop that I saw although it was a later model and in need of a lot of TLC I just loved the idea.

Rowan, "more modest" is a British humor joke, I assume 
. Nowadays the original vehicle it's one of the most sought after collector's car and the prices are just rocketing. Besides the market value proper, the car is very quirky and interesting Italian thing.

Well, I think I just blew my kit budget for 2019 
Damaged boxes, decals missing, a couple of wheels missing, a couple of minor starts, nothing that I can't deal with easily. The only kit here complete and unstarted is the 1/12 57, but the package price was just too good to pass up.
Now I need to go and Google "Model King" as this 57 Gasser is the first kit I have seen from them. My understanding that it was a split-off from AMT or Revellogram at some stage with limited runs.

Michael, the Sports Coupe has no pillar between the front and rear side windows, the Bel Air has. Wide open spaces with windows all down
