Gabriel: Yeah, I think it's pretty cool. Not quite sure, what to do with it yet. I Won't be painting it movie style, that's for sure.

Hi, guys!
I have noticed that my stash lacking seriously civilian vehicles and the weight of today's shipment went to Tamiya and to 1/24 scale.
The much needed Porsche 959 for the Porsche campaign.

I like the simple yet liquid shapes of this Mazda Eunos Roadster. I bought it as "sparing partner" for testng clear coats

I was salivating for this kit since its release, some three years ago. I decided I cannot wait any longer
 Mercedes Benz 300 SL

White finishes are haunting me and I bought another "test subject". No, it's not going to be Christine

Together with those, a bunch of preparation / finishing products:

Cheers!
Gabriel

Very nice Gabriel!
Though I don't see too many "car" colours in that paint collection, unless you're going for a camo effect

cheers
Michael

Haha!
Michael, you'll make a great detective!
I sourced the "car" colors locally:

Those are really crazy colors, even the manufacturer couldn't found a name for them. It looks like they were nominated by an online random word picker. The dark blue is after school bay blazer, the dark red is wicked and the dark green is stylenomics (sic!)

But my favorite is the beige for not to be Christine: so many clowins... so little time Go figure!

Well it’s my birthday today and here is what I brought myself, it arrived the other day but I waited until today when I finished work to open it. Yes working on my birthday and it’s a Sunday as well.
Zero colour matched paints including 2 part candy orange for the AMG GT3 just waiting for the decal sheet to come back in stock, pe for a Tamiya Mercedes CLK GTR and a set of decals for the Fujimi SLS AMG GT3.

Thank you Gabriel. I’ve just found and ordered the “Battlefront 1” decal set directly from the manufacturer also found and ordered another decal set at the same time, I’m going to need another AMG GT3
As for a build log well at the moment I’d just be happy to finish something. I do need to build an ‘M’ subject for a show in November so it could be a Merc and I’ll get to try those Zero paints.

What do these look like inside the box? I've always wondered. Have time to post a few sprue shots?

Thank you Jesper, that Chrysler looks nice.
A few items arrived yesterday and today.
The Battlefield 1 and IWC watch decals are for the Tamiya AMG GT3 however they come without instructions! There’s also a decal set for the AMG GT3 Black Falcon Racing (blue car) and the Senna set for the Ducati 1199S.
The Japanese cartoon girl box is the Fujimi AMG SLS GT3 with Good Smile Racing team decals.

D,
Nice find. And glad to see that you're still alive & well.
A high school friend had one in 1965 and swapped out the engine for a 327 small block with plenty of mods. I still remember riding around in it.

Nice one D, I do like some of the ‘50s cars and that’s one of them.
Well any way I thought it about time I got some Italians in my 1/24 car stash plus a couple of interlopers.
Oh also got a jar Zero paints Rosso Scuderia (Ferrari racing red for road cars) and Giallo Modena (Ferrari Yellow)

Now to find some Alfa’s, Lancia’s and Maserati’s.

Oh I’ve been watching old Alfa’s on YouTube so now want to make models of them as I can’t afford the real thing.

Oh wow! Nice pick up. When you unbox the Abarth 500 Ferrari Tributo, would you mind taking a few photos? I want to see what the difference is between that kit and the Essensse kit. Thanks!

Calvin,
Here’s some photos of the contents and the instructions, l would also like to know the difference as the ‘Esseesse’ version is in my shopping cart along with the standard Abarth version. Note you get a window masking template but no masking material.

Hope that helps

This is perfect! I think the only difference is that your kit has the additional sprue with the sportier racing bucket seats in the 595 and 695 Abarth. It also has the stock seats as well. The Essessee kit comes with the "Abarth" Wooden crate sprue. It's not anything different other than this. What is a big letdown for me is that the wheels are MUCH too small for the actual car. The wheels provided are 15" while the real car has 17" wheels. I was planning to build a replica of my daily driver, a white Abarth, but will have to end up buying aftermarket Hobby Design Abarth wheels to make the model more accurate.

Calvin, thanks for the information I'll have to look out for those wheels. I plan on picking up the Italeri Abarth team truck and trailer to go along side the little cars although I should really get one of the racing versions.
