Thanks fellas. Yes, that was a Seabee lapel pin that I bought at a Navy museum gift shop last year

Steve, I think Revell produced only two. This one and the LR version. Not sure and could be wrong. and both OOP. You might need to buy one or the other then use a similar year model Chevy (or other GM) suspension and wheels or get some AM stuff

During final assembly I noticed a flaw in the instructions. The BACK UP LIGHTS part 83 is upside down as illustrated. It will only fit one way

The kit includes what looks like the sprue for a factory stock or from the Low Rider version; sprue on right provides struts, springs, and drive shaft that is not to be used in the lifted version

Is that so? I was thinking today, maybe I could use / modify the front and rear suspension off of one of the older Revell Caprice or Impala SS models to create a normal version of the car. I'll have to pick up the kit though, it looks like you had a good time putting it together.

Yeah that will work too. The rear pumpkin and axle can be used at factory stock height if you use the other springs included, then use the stock drive shaft as well. So, all you really need to come up with is the front suspension and wheels

This kit fit together great with no problems that weren't my own
