Once I get the Mercury stripped (again), I'll try painting one more time. This shouldn't be this difficult!

Jim,
I gotta hand it to you that you keep on trying and trying to get your Shelf Queens done. Mine slowly but surely just seem to vanish from the shelf to parts unknown. Guess it's a combination of visual depression seeing them or the boxes that are opened, and knowing what awaits me inside them, or the remembrance of all the issues that caused me to re-box up that kit in the 1st place.

Fortunately for me, since the switch to car, I've only had two Shelf Queens and one still is on that infamous shelf of Doom.

Gary, sorry to hear about your Mojo tank running dry. It does happen way more then I'd like to hear, and it does happen to some degree to all of us. Right now my tank is not on fumes, but lower then it's been for some time. I'm confident that both my tank and yours will get that much needed refill sooner then later.

Joel

Slightly more refined ribbon. The previous one had the bottom of the concrete blocks cut off and it's been bothering me. Now I can rest easy.

Looks good Gary, I will drop it into the Group Build Page .

Only 5 weeks to go here folks, it will be great to see a couple more builds finished up and on display instead of hiding in the dusty corner of the workshop.

Cheers, D

Gary,
Nice ribbon design. That should get a few more guys motivated to finish up old Shelf Queen builds.

Congrats on getting this neat little truck finished eMan, I really like the weathering you have added to it. Very realistic and not overdone.

It looks to be a good kit, nice crisp details and no fit issues, thanks for joining in and sharing the build here.

Cheers, D

very nice work Eman!

The Revell 1978 Trans Am is nearly there now

Some dodgy mobile phone shots...

The panel fit on the Revell kit isn't too good but I figure, neither is the 1:1 panel fit that good, so I'm going to go with it!

Just a couple more items to finish off then we're all done!

Actually, I think it's the first time I'll finish a model in more than a year!

Great work Russell and with 35 days left, of the year, you have plenty of time, for the final touches.

Russell,
I'm just super impressed with the gloss clearcoat. The interior looks realistic and nicely finished, as is the engine and engine compartment. I'd say that you're right at the finish line for sure.

After a lot of filing, cutting, and cursing, I finally got the frame, interior and body to lign up.
BMF is done, lights glued in place. This is just a dry fit, I need to re-paint the interior, in a few places.

Yes, the story of our lives Jesper! It's looking sweet, I love the colour scheme and the candy finish. It will be great to see this one off the bench and on the display shelf.

Jesper,
Wow!! don't she look Grand

My modeling pace has slowed to a crawl. Not that I'm not trying to move forward, but it's now 2 steps forward and 3 steps backwards.

I've got total confidence in you completing the build before the end of the year.
