DANG, It's been along time since last update.
Well, not much done. I removed the head lights from the fenders. I wasn't impressed with the placement.
Anyways, still here and it's still being worked on. Figured I'd let you all know.

Life happens man..build when ya can. Hey 2 cents for what little it'd be worth...maybe incorporate the headlights "into" the fenders{a triangle box}...I did that with an anglia once and it turned out pretty cool.......just a thought.

Thx for the support Bob. The headlight I'm still toying around with, but I'll keep that idea in mind.
Well, I finally got pissed and did some work on it last night. Finished the grill, Lowered the front end(minor, not really noticeable.

)
Rethinking the sleeper, I might make it a Day cab!!!!
I'll try and get some photos up later.

She'd be a real stretch without the sleeper, but I've always liked those.....looking good either way!

Thx Bob,
I might turn into a day cab, I'll have to look at it with the "graphics" on the truck and see if it's the "mean, bad boy" look I'm shooting for.
The stacks are going to be straight pipes, just put the stock stuff on for photo purpose.

Brian, without the sleeper, and a flat steel bed added, she'd look just like the Pete I used to haul my JD 650G dozer on.
BTW, the Iron Maiden decals seriously kick much a**!

Thx Hermon,
The Maiden theme was a something that wasn't really planned till I ran across some of the artwork online and figured "What the Hell, no body's put this on a rig, why not."
The hood was the only thing that I was going to do then it just got larger as the more artwork I saw on the site.
Trying to tie in all the colors is going to be the real challenge with this build. Blending is going to be a nightmare even though the graphics are going to be decals. The rear is the real pain cause it goes from blue/yellows into the Main Jet black I've set of the Cab color.
The hood will blend nicely, but the rear is a different story.

It's been along time guys. I'm sorry for the major delays in this build and I know you'd like to see it completed.
Life has majorly interputed the build at the present time. I must put my personal life in order before I get back into the hobby. I've total stopped all builds here and on Armorama till I get things straighten out.
I'll been lurking around for time to time when I can.
Ty for all the support in all my builds.

Just ran across this thread. Great stuff!!
I've got the same kit that I'm planning a custom job for also. I'm going to stretch the sleeper but convert it to a stand up sleeper. I think I'm going to open up one of the rear doors and fill out the inside of the sleeper.
Got a quick question, are there resin replacement tires for this kit anywhere? I've seen alot of people saying they were going to replace them, but where are they coming from?

There probably aren't resin replacement tires specifically for this kit; however resin tires do exist. You might want to check with Chris at
SourKraut's, or Dave at
American Industrial Truck Models.

Late to this thread, but wow what a concept, building a sleeper cab rig in the back of a sleeper cab rig.
