Sounds like a plan.

I think it's only 5 for a campaign on this site; 10 for the "popular" sites like Armorama & Model Shipwrights.

Only the popular sites need 10...heck, I prettymuch hang here and model geek even though I'm in an air campaign too.

Alright, the campaign is submitted...let campaign "OTR" rule!

Now, we need someone who's good at ribbons to help me/us out here...while I don't drive a semi for a living, I could more easily back up a triple than I could design or make a campaign ribbon.

So if the other sites are the "popular" sites.......what does that make us?

Yeah, my T-shirt doesn't cover my belly. I have Cheetos crumbs on my chest. Haven't changed my drawers in days. Half my fingers are glued together or have peeling paint on them, and I have 37 empty Copenhagen cans laying around my workbench........but I don't consider myself a total Loser. Speakin' of which....anybody seen Murphy lately?

Bob, the all-encompassing truck, truck & trailer, just trailer, or straight truck sounds good to me. May will be great as well. BTW, got your PM and am using your advice. Got a couple of fishies on the hook as we speak.

Hermon, It ain't how you look..it's all about how the build piece looks{good thing huh!}. I don't picture Murphy as a truck person too much, but he'd always be welcome to join in if the whim hits him.
I proposed an all things truck build as well as button ups for unfinished trucks...lord knows I have my stakebed, the XT and the mack wrecker to toss in to the mix as well. I'm gonna try an old round nosed trailer{keystone} build for my needlenose Pete tractor to tow. Add all those neat resin conversion cabs I got from Backyard shed in Australia from santa...I shouldn't be too hard pressed to find something to build as much as it'll be a hard choice as to "which one"!
Oh, and keep tryin like I do...ya never know what'll land on that hook!

...well, I'm off to go tinker with the logger...and the XT's roof...and the ferrari...and my redo of the magnaguard fighter{sci-fi} paint scheme...and the train campaign pieces...and the airplane campaign build floatplane is around here somewhere.......I'm outta here!

Hi all.

I just found this thread and want to put my hand up...there it's up. I don't know what I'll be building as I don't know what my LHS has on offer. The last truck I built was about 20 years ago so it's good motivation to get another one done.

Cheers

Welcome aboard Shane, glad to have ya.

Remember to wear your boots. It gets pretty deep around here sometimes.

Shane, welcome aboard sir. Always looking to find new recruits to model trucks. I left a wide margin for the build so you'll easily find something to fit in the campaign as well as this forum. Good to have ya here!

This sounds good, I can build a tractor/straight truck and add a trailer if there's time. I think I'll go with a film truck, as there are no rules about model, type, or details! I posted some pics of film trucks in my gallery but can't seem to post them here....arrgh!

Haven't tried posting pics in forums yet, but I posted some pics of real trucks in "my photos" in my gallery section, if you want to check them out. May not be able to do the trailer, it'd take a heckuva lot of aftermarket stuff, lots of little details, tools, accessories, etc!

*Phew* So, I couldn't find the vaunted GMC Astro, which is a shame as we have two Astros on the set of Fringe, which I was going to use as real life reference. I settled for the AMT Chevrolet Titan, which is obviously similar. I am going to customize the interior with updated seats, entertainment packages, personal kit, etc.
I am looking at three options: 10 tonne grip/electric straight truck
extended frame tractor with generator set
Honeywagon/AD office straight truck w/ tow hook

Ah hell Bob, if that's all you're waitin' on I'll give ya the approval.
Lemmie hollar at C5flies (James), he's our inside man now.

Oh, and if we ever get this turd off the ground, here's what I've got in mind for my entry. Just picture it with an International 4300 cab instead of a crapliner....er....freightliner cab.

With your approval of course.

Hi Guys,

I'll come and play, if I may.

I'm looking at an Australian Army Diamond Reo and Freuhauff trailer rig - Vietnam era. The trailer is readily convertible from the recent re-release, I just have to find a Diamond Reo at a reasonable price!

Nice one Graeme. I look forward to seeing that build up. BTW, Diamond Rios are on ebay quite often. I let one slip away last week for $20.00U.S.

Welcome aboard...a Diamond Reo SBA is always welcome in any trim....I've heard only the coolest people build them{reminds me I need to go finish my Diamond Reo SBA logger}.
Hermon, that was a good price for that kit, but ya don't know how much higher it was bid up!

Yup. Modular home hauler, or as we (formerly) in the business call it, a "toter".
I'll start rounding up the needed parts. Also gonna need some custom decals for the magnetic signs on the doors if any of you guys would be willing. I plan to build my old truck if I can find a decent reference pic.

BTW, thanks for the speedy work James (C5flies). You da man!

I'm toying around with a suicidal thought for my build...I've always wanted to build an old Grey Hound Scenic Cruiser bus - '60's era - and actually have the multiviews to possibly pull it off...she's not exactly a straight truck though and I question a year as being enough time for a build such as that........maybe the easier route as thought up origonaly.
