All,
Well it's 15 hours into the GB (I get a couple more hours than my Aussie neighbours

), and since I'll lose a month during the house move, I thought I'd pull finger and get into it.
Managed to scrounge up a spare cab, doors and dash from a friend (yep I'm cheap) so it's time for some cold steel to mangle some plastic. Just spent an hour or so shaping some wood blocks ready for vacuum-forming (oven is warming right now).
Will start a build log once some progress is made.

Hope everyones bits'n'pieces are coming together and plans falling in line.
Roger.

Hey, Roger, do you ever cut yourself when you are selecting a knife? I only ask because I'd have no fingers left if I did that!!

guys, I'm happy to see this one fire up and take a diversion from wings and props for an hour or two. I'll be doing this

to go beside this

and this

in my monster diorama. I'm really looking forward to seeing some of your builds in progress, I've got LOTS to learn about building trucks.
Cheers, D

OK, it's been 1 day now and I got her done...this was the easiest interior I've ever done!
I made the to stacks out of aluminum tubing since there were 4 nasty mold kickout marks right where everyone could see them. Painted the cab and trailer with the new tamiya white pearl...man that stuff is thin!!!{will be an excellent tinting cover for my sci-fi ships}. Used the AMT US Mail decals for the trailer since the cab was too small for anything from that set. A note to everyone who ever has to use a black fine tip permanent marker for line touch up - use very fine mists to cover said area or the marker will run{see the red pinstriping on my cab - ouch}...a normal coat will make it run! I could get the wash to stay on the red stripes/tape so I resorted to a fine tip marker...won't do that again.
She nearly fell together...thanks to fast drying paint and glue I can kick back for the rest of the year I guess-

...well, maybe not.........
...anybody else close to finishing one up yet? I sorta expected to see a few of these
{I nearly did her in the P.I.E. livery but the US Mail version was easier}
Now truth be told, this lil project wasn't just to poke fun at a few folks as much as it was a speed build for me....I don't readily expect anyone to be doing this, but you can if you like.

Looking at the fact that we have 5 pages going on here as it is...do you guys want me to start a new campaign build thread or would everyone like to toss they're own up individually? Majority rules....

,
AussieReg - That area may look organised, thankfully you can't see the other side of the room = pure chaos

.
Grubby - Let's just say, I very quickly learnt to pick up a knife from the side

, it's only a temp holder while I sort/reorganise the playroom.
Bob - "what am I building" - to be revealed when the build log starts

. As to your OTR twofour

.
Roger.

Managed to upload an image to the OTR Gallery... lets try this...

Got it to work on the 2nd attempt **rolling eyes smiley**
4th Edit... this will probably be my model for the build. Rather unimpressed with the Revell Peterbilt tri-axle hauler kit unfortunately. May stick it back on EPay and get my money back.

Well, I pulled a few resin cabs out of mothballs to try out...my Mack MB400 series recast of Dave Natales conversion that he did a 3 piece rerun of, an old ebay find of a clint freeman Mack F cab but it has a mold split on all the top of the cab and back on the rear AC unit and I just got my 2 Mack AC tanker kits for which I plan on splicing them together to make a long Mack AP dual drive tanker out of...as soon as my MAck AP book shows up{yah just can't find any decent pics of a Mack AP}.
