Oh Spit!
I feel so used, so abused, so tawdry..
My wife's gone out a bought a Chevy.
How could she?
Oh well, now on quiet nights we can go out on the patio and listen to it rust.

Your wife is obviously highly intelligent with excellent taste and a great sense of style. You should pay close attention to her and learn from her correct choices.

Looks great Chester. For a Camaro of course.

Finally found my Z-28. True to Chevy form, the box is wilting, the cover art is peeling off and it's one of those one piece cartons, so the top always falls down when you try to open it. Kinda like the hood on a real Camaro. Hope to get a picture when I get back stateside, if the lens doesn't break.

Chester, super job mate. Really neat work. Can't wait to see the next stage!
Mark, your box is disintegrating because the monster-sex-on-wheels machine inside is too hot to be contained.
Fingers crossed, I might get a few minutes tonight to start some parts prep.
Cheers, D

...and I'm kicking off my build. First the 2007 Charger. I don't get a newspaper delivered, but I get pizza coupons-- to show this is March.
The Charger is certainly a hemi-- the lime hood says so! If it's in writing, it must be true, right?
Okay, so this kit is a simpler one-- screw assembly. And I only learned later that there is a police car version of this kit out there, which is where I was going with this anyway. Regardless, "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush", as they say, so hopefully I can make a decent showing with it. (My Chevy is a standard plastic kit.)
Cheers!

Breaking the silence again...
Holes plugged with stretched sprue stubs. Ugly at this point! by windysean, on Flickr
I'm slightly embarrassed that my kit is pre-painted and screw-assembly, but I got it at a good price on clearance, and I'm trying to make it better than that. Anyway, here I've knocked down the gloss with 220 grit sandpaper to help my primer adhere.
(Lime paint? Really, Mopar?)
I found the base to the light bar in the kit, but the clear parts were not in this boxing, and I drilled holes in the roof to mount it.
I used the stubs from stretched sprue as tapered plugs in the holes in the doors and trunk lid, superglued in place. Then I cut them off and sanded smooth.

I'm always trying more things that I read here on Kitmaker.
thanks,
Sean H.

Ditto! Great work-- 2 different oranges, rusted exhaust parts, distributor and wiring, even getting the decal flat on the cone-shaped air cleaner cover is a minor victory. Very convincing in scale!
