Some nice looking cars already, not even got a purchase made for this yet. I am sure something will come along.

Looking good Richard, great to see some progress being made. No luck looking for AM rims, or just nothing that took your fancy?
James, nice job on the 1:1 woodwork.
Cheers, D

Floor looks good James.
A shame you couldn't find any am spoke wheels Richard. The spoked wheels would be awesome, but the kit rims still look good though.

You masked them with BMF? Wouldn't tape be less expensive?

Might be cheaper but I've seen the outcome of that technique. Worth it!
Since there's bound to be a lot of bmf here I thought I'd mention there's a technique out there where you lay the bmf, paint over it, and then remove the paint on whatever specific area you want the foil. Looks awesome on raised letter barges and such.
And if you all don't mind Christine coming into the picture I'd like to enlist.

Tell me more, I've got a bunch of chrome on that 57 that needs a brilliant idea for masking.

A lot of my models were primed at the same time so hopefully this is legit.

Hi Jim
I have tried different tapes and masking fluids and have had problems with blead through.
BMF being very thin shows details that you want to trim around ie aircraft canopy frames, I only use close to detail to be masked and tape the remaining area.
Expensive but works for me.

Great progress guys!
Jim, lovely detail on the powerplant and seats.
Richard, always good to see some colour going on to the body!
Andrew, welcome to the 50's party, looking forward to following your progress.
I am in the middle of a manufacturing plant relocation to a new facility at work, so my bench time has been curtailed for a while.
Cheers, D

Thanks, Damian. The seat "fabric" are decals that come with the kit.

Really nice looking interiors and engines gents. Both the interiors really stand out in my mind. Looking forward to seeing more of those.
I'm not sure how wise it is but I'm no longer building Christine (thumbs down for this kit). The interior is wrong and the engine doesn't know what it wants to be. I'd rather build a Belvedere. I might sift through my parts boxes and see if I have anything of interest to make a mild custom and swap the engine if I can find anything suitable that's complete. Odds really aren't in my favor since my parts boxes are from my youth. Regardless I'm keeping my fins above water and the kit is in progress. I may play around with the stance and let that dictate where the build goes, but I'm partial to slow and low and I'd like to use the side skirts so I may have to post pics and see what y'all think.
